It must be difficult to show up at an awards ceremony when you’re not nominated and all they want you to do in introduce a clip from one of your upcoming film. After all, what the hell are you needed for? Jake Gyllenhaal certainly shows that here, looking rather uncomfottable at having to stand on stage at the Spike TV awards to introduce some new footage from Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. Bless him. Anyway, click below to take a fresh look at the film that will be in cinemas on May 28th, 2010.
13Hrs Trailer – Tom Felton tries to prove there’s more to him than Draco Malfoy
With the Harry Potter movies coming to an end, the cast have to find new ways to spend their time, and Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, has already found something to do, by appearing in the low budget Brit horror movie, 13Hrs. However while he’s probably the best know name in the cast (although Hollyoak actress Gemma Atkinson also stars), he’s not exactly used much in this teaser trailer – but then, nobody else is either. The film is about a bunch of friends under attack in an isolated house, from a terrifying home with a dark secret that could wipe them all out. It doesn’t actually look much different to the 1,000s of other horror movies that emerge each year, but click below to take a look. As yet 13Hrs has no release date.
New The Crazies Trailer – Fresh look at the upcoming Romero remake
George A. Romero’s Living Dead movies have been a popular target for remakes in recent years, and now filmmakers are looking at his few non-undead films. The Crazies, based on Romero’s 1973 film, is coming to cinemas on February 26th, and sees Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell and Danielle Panabaker playing the residents of a small Iowa town who have to deal with a plague of insanity, with no one knowing why it’s happening or how to deal with it as things spin out of control. A new trailer has now arrived for the film, and it’s a lot better then the first one. Click below to take a look.
Solomon Kane Film Clip – Not ready for Hell quite yet
The first clip from Solomon Kane has shown up at Bloody Disgusting (it’s also embedded below) and we have to say it’s pretty intense and rather cool (despite the fact that the bad guys just look like the Dementors from Harry Potter 3). The film, based on stories by the creator of Conan The Barabarian, follows James Purefoy’s title character, who’s fighting as a mercenary for Elizabeth I in Africa when he encounters a demon and realises he must find redemption or be damned to hell. Take a look below for the first creepy CG-filled clip from the movie, and we’ve also embedded the trailer below that, in case you haven’t seen it. Solomon Kane is due in UK cinemas of February 5th.
Cats & Dogs: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore – Do you want more CG kitties and canines?
Gees, I’d almost forgotten Cats & Dogs existed. Well, I knew the animals existed, I’d just forgotten about the live action/CG film from 2001, which charted the hi-tech battle between the animals. In what is a rather belated return for the franchise, next summer we’re getting Cats & Dogs: The Revenge Of Kitty Galore, which will feature yet more talking animals acting like secret agents (we’re presuming Warner thought G-Force would be a bigger hit, which is why they put Cats & Dogs 2 into development). Anyway, take a look at the trailer below, and is it just us, or can you see Chris O’Donnel really wishing he’d got his career back on track with NCIS: Los Angeles a bit sooner, so he didn’t have to make this? The film is out in the UK next August 4th.
1941 DVD Trailer – Spielberg’s ‘lost’ movie is finally coming to DVD in the UK!
While 1941 might be Steven Spielberg’s most notorious flop (a knockabout comedy set just after the bombing of Pearl Harbor was always going to be a tough sell), the 1979 movie, starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, is nevertheless an interesting, overblown and anarchic movie. It’s also a must see for fans of the director’s other films, if only because it’s such a marked departure from anything else he’s ever made. However it’s never come out on DVD in the UK, but that’s now being remedied, with a two-disc special edition that’s coming to digital disc on December 28th. We’ve just been sent this DVD trailer, which features some vintage promo footage of John Belushi trying to recruit you, so CLICK HERE to take a look at the Quicktime trailer (it may take a while to load).
