When you think of Tom Cruise, the word ‘comedy’ doesn’t normally spring to mind. In fact he tends to be ridiculously po-faced, but with Kinght And Day he’s having a go at being an action comedy star, with Cameron Diaz in tow. She plays a normal women who gets caught up in Cruise’s espionage exploits whether she wants to or not, and ends up on an international journey with him to protect a powerful new energy source. We’ve now swapped the ET previw trailer for the proper one and you can see it by clicking below. It actually looks kind of cool. The film is in UK cinemas on July 2nd.
Kick-Ass: Hit Girl Red Band Trailer – One little girl who’s definitely not safe for work
I think it’s fairly safe to say that few films have ever had this sort of language and violence coming from an 11-year-old girl. It this rude and blood-splattered new trailer we’re introduced to Kick-Ass character Hit Girl, the 11-year-old daughter of Nic Cage’s Big Daddy, who’s a foul-mouthed, gun toting vigilante in her own right. All I want to know is whether actress Chloe Moretz’s parents read the script before she signed on, as you wonder what they thought when the script called for their little darling to use the ‘c’ word and then blow someone’s brains out. However the trailer is quite cool, although only suitable for over 18s and NSFW. Kick-Ass is in cinemas in April, but click below if you’re over 18 and want to see the Hit Girl trailer.
Robin Hood International Trailer – A very different (and better) new look at Ridley Scott’s new movie
Normally international versions of trailers may be a tiny bit different to the US cut – perhaps with a few alternate shots and a different release date – but the international Robin Hood trailer is completely different to the American version that appeared last week. For a start, it appears the whole movie wasn’t actually filmed in slow motion, and also it’s going to have some dialogue. While I wasn’t at all impressed by the first trailer, this one gives the Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe film a more epic feel and suggests we could be looking at something very good. The movie hits UK cinemas on May 14th.
Marmaduke Teaser Trailer – Owen Wilson channels his inner Great Dane
Like the rest of the world, I’m sure you’ve been desperately wondering when they were going to make a movie out of the Great Dane comic strip, Marmaduke. Oh, you haven’t? Well tough, because we’re getting one anyway. Owen Wilson is the voice of the canine, who causes chaos wherever he goes and has to deal with moving from tranquil rural Kansas to the LA suburbs. The film is due out next summer and now the first teaser trailer for the talking dog concoction has arrived, so click below to see it.
Toy Story 3 Extended Clip – Woody and co. worry about their future
When The Incredibles aired on ABC Family in the States, Disney decided it would be a good opportunity to air an extended clip from the upcoming Toy Story 3. The clip has now popped up onlines and sees Andy, who’s about to head off to college, sorting out his toys and deciding which ones should go into storage and which shouldn’t, before an accident leads to Buzz and his friends getting into a sticky situation. It’s a nifty little clip, so click below to watch it. Toy Story 3 is in UK cinemas on July 23rd, 2010.
The Back-Up Plan Trailer – Jennifer Lopez makes babies!
Jennifer Lopez has been off our movie screens for the last couple of years while she became a mother (she gave birth to twins in February 2008), and now she’s back with a comedy all about impending parenthood. She plays a women who’s fed up with looking for Mr. Right and so decides to have a baby by herself via artificial insemination, but wouldn’t you know it, the day she has her date with the turkey baster, she meets the man of her dreams, who’s a little freaked to find out that his new girlfriend is up the duff. The movie is out in the UK on March 19th, but you can click below to see the trailer.
