First Look At Burlesque – Entertainment Tonight goes behind the scenes on the Cher and Christina Aguilera musical

8th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Although Burlesque could end up either being great or absymal, the idea of a musical set in a burlesque club starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, is defnitely an intriguing one. Entertainment Tonight went behind-the-scenes on the movie, heading off to the set of the movie, in order to interview the cast and crew, getting the skinny from the likes of Stanley Tucci, Aguilera, Kristen Bell and co. Although much of it seems to be about how wonderful Cher is, it’s worth a look. Click below to watch ET’s preview. Burlesque is due out at the end of the year.

More Superbowl Trailers – The Wolfman, Prince Of Persia, Alice In Wonderland and more…

8th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

The Superbowl has traditionally been the time when the studios first start building up the hype for their big summer movie, often with specially made ads designed just for the big game. However this year they’ve gone for more traditional promos for their upcoming slate. We’ve already posted Superbowl ads for The Last Airbender, Robin Hood and Brooklyn’s Finest, and now we’ve got ones for Alice In Wonderland, The Wolfman, Prince Of Persia, Shutter Island, The Back-Up Plan, and another one for Robin Hood, all of which show at least some never before seen footage. They’re all worth a look, although it’s The Back-Up Plan, starring J-Lo, that will should get the award for honesty in advertising, as it starts out by saying, “what you are about to see will haunt you for years to come”. Then again, you can say that about most of her movies. Click below to take a look at the new ads.

My Last Five Girlfriends Trailer – Exploring love in the upcoming Brit rom-com

6th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

British rom-coms aways seem desparate to say how they’re not like normal romantic comedies, almost as if they’re slightly embarassed to be part of the genre, and the trailer for My Last Five Girlfriends is no exception. Nevertheless, the movie looks like it could be quite fun, with a quirky take on love, as Duncan (played by newcomer Brendan Patricks) narrates the story of what he learned from his last five girlfriends, who range from quirky to sophisticated, and dissects what went wrong. Based on the novel by philosopher Alain De Botton, the film hits UK cinemas in March. Click below to watch th trailer.

New Superbowl Trailers – Get a look at Robin Hood and Brooklyn’s Finest

6th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Yesterday we posted the Superbowl trailer for The Last Airbender and now a couple more promo that will be shown during the game have popped up online, for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood and Antoine Fuqua’s Brooklyn’s Finest. The Robin Hood one makes it look more Gladiator 2 than ever, although seeing Cate Blanchett going into battle is kind of fun. Brooklyn’s Finest is about three New York cops (Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke and Don Cheadle) who end up in the same place, despite taking very different routes to get there. Click below to take a look.

The Last Airbender Superbowl Trailer – New footage from the M. Night Shyamalan fantasy

5th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Ah, the Superbowl is nearly here, that yearly event when American companies trying to outdo each other with how close to bankruptcy they can get by paying inordinate amounts of money for advertising space during the game. Hollywood will be well represented this year, and to get a head start, Paramount have already released their Last Airbender Superbowl spot online. It features a bit of new footage, and certainly makes M. Night Shyamalan’s flick, about the last member of the Air race, who must take on the threat posed by the fire people, look like it’s gonna be pretty cool. Click below to take a look. The Last Airbender is due out in the UK on August 13th.

Cop Out Red Band Trailer – The Bruce Willis flick is looking much funnier

5th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

The way Kevin Smith has been saying Cop Out isn’t ‘his film’ and he was just hired to direct it, almost sounded like he was trying to distance himself from the movie. Then, when the first, lacklustre trailer arrived, it seemed like it might be a good strategy on his part. However, now a ruder, more violent Red Band trailer has been released and it’s much more entertaining than anything we’ve seen before. In fact it’s pretty hilarious. If nothing else, it’s probably the only trailer you’ll ever see where a grown men punches a 10-year-old in the nuts. The Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan Morgan movie is due out in the UK on February 26th. Click below to watch the Red Band trailer.
