Killers Trailer – Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl show off their action comedy skills

11th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Normal people getting caught up with super-spies seems to be big this year, as we’ve got Tom Cruise recruiting Cameron Diaz in Knight & Day (click here to watch the trailer for that) and now Ashton Kutcher playing a guy who settles down from his jet-setting espionage life to marry Katherine Heigl’s happy-go-lucky computer tech (no, I’ve never seen a computer tech who looks like Katherine Heigl either). However, after three years of domestic bliss, he discovers there’s a hit out on his head, and that the killers have been stalking him for years and could be virtually anyone he knows. First stop is to confess his real job to his wife. The action rom-com is due out this summer, although hopefully it’ll be better than the trailer,  which just makes it look like a low-rent Mr and Mrs Smith. Click below to take a look.

The Last Airbender Trailer – First look at Dev Patel in Shyamalan’s fantasy opus

11th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Although we’ve had a specially made teaser trailer and Superbowl TV spot, now a proper trailer for M Night Shyamalan’s fantasy epic, The Last Airbender, has arrived, and it gives us our first look at Slumdog star Dev Patel as the evil leader of the Fire people, whose plans for world domination can only be stopped by the young last member of the Air race. The film is due out in the UK on August 13th, but click below for the action-packed trailer.

Alice In Wonderland Featurette – Mad Hatter – Johnny Depp reveals some new footage

11th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Even if nothing else, Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland is going to look amazing. While this new featurette, which is part of a series Disney is releasing each week, is similar to one we posted a while back, it features some new footage that make Wonderland look an incredible place. If you wanna see the clips and Johnny Depp talking about the Mad Hatter, click below. Alice In Wonderland is out on March 5th.

4.3.2.1. Teaser Trailer – 4 Girls, 3 Days, 2 Cities, 1 Chance… in the new film by Noel Clarke

9th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Noel Clarke’s certainly done well for himself since being Rose’s friend Mikey in Doctor Who. He got huge plaudits for writing Kidulthood, then wrote and directed Adulthood and he’s now moved on to 4.3.2.1, which he’s scripted and co-directed (alongside Mark Davis). In fact he’s become such a name he’s got a ‘Noel Clarke Presents’ credit on this trailer. Not a vast amount is known about the film other than it stars Emma Roberts, Tamsin Egerton, Ophelia Lovibone and Michelle Ryan as four all-action girls on a mission, however there’s buzz that this could turn Clarke into a major name in Hollywood both in front of and behind the camera. 4.3.2.1. is due out in May.

Ondine Trailer – Neil Jordan gets dramatic with sea nymphs

9th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Ondine is certainly an interesting looking movie. Written and directed by Neil Jordan, the film features Colin Farrell as a fisherman who discovers a woman in his nets who may or may not be a sea nymph. The women changes people’s lives in the small Irish town, but as the trailer suggests, things then get rather dramatic when a man comes looking for her. It looks like a more dramatic take on a mermaid tale than usual, and could be both unusual and very entertaining. There’s no release date set as yet, but click below for the trailer.

Earthling Teaser Trailer – Take a look at the weird but rather cool looking low budget sci-fi flick

9th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Could this be this year’s Moon? Earthling is an strange but rather intriguing looking sci-fi film in which, after a mysterious atmospheric event, a small group of people wake up to realise that their entire lives have been a lie. They are in fact aliens disguised as humans. Now they have to make a choice. Live amongst men, or try to find a way back home. It’s a cool idea and while the teaser trailer is rather odd, the film is already generating buzz and will premiere as this year’s SXSW Film Festival. Click below to take a look.
