Brand New How To Train Your Dragon Trailer – Fresh look at Dreamworks’ imminent animation

26th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

With How To Train Your Dragon out at the end of next month, a new trailer has been released, this one giving a little bit more info on the plot and style of the film than we’ve seen before. The film, based on Cressida Cowell’s books, tells the story of young Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, who isn’t particularly keen on the whole dragon-killing culture of his clan, and after failing to slay one of the might beasts, ends up taming and befriending it, which turns his whole world upside-down. I still reckon the main dragon looks like a weird salamander-ish blob, but the movie’s been getting some pretty decent buzz, so should be one to look out for. Click below to watch the new trailer.

Iron Man 2 Featurette – Behind-The-Scenes on the upcoming blockbuster

26th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Although this featurette has French subtitles, most of it’s in English (except for the film clip, which has been dubbed) and features loads of great behind-the-scenes footage, including quite a few spectacular stunts. With interviews with the cast and crew, plus the film’s trailer, it’s well worth a look, especially if you wanna another look at Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash. It certainly make the film, which is due out in the UK on April 30th, seem pretty cool, so click below to take a look.

New A Nightmare On Elm Street Trailer – Freddy’s back to get you!

25th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

It’s only a couple of months until the remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street hits UK cinemas on May 7th, with Jackie Earle Haley stepping into Robert Englund’s shoes as the scarred dream killer, Freddy Krueger. Now a new trailer for the film has been released, which follows the rest of the marketing in keeping Freddy mysterious and wreathed in shadow. It also seems keen to show that this will be a proper horror movie, with teens running around being terrified and trying to stay away so the knife-handed killer can’t get them, rather than the ironic confections the Nightmare series quickly became in the 1980s. It may look slightly generic, but the trailer’s not too bad, and Freddy is such a great bad guy that it’s difficult not to hope this one is going to be good.

Beastly Featurette – Beauty and the Beast gets a teen makeover

25th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Twilight meets High School Musical in Beastly, a modern teen update of the Beauty and the Beast story, starring Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens. Pettyfer plays a young man obesessed with his own beauty, who thinks success and value can be judged on looks. However he gets cursed to be ugly and must find love within a year in order to break the spell. In step Vanessa Hudgens as the obligatory Beauty. The new trailer, which also includes cast interviews and some behind the scenes footage, ain’t bad and suggests this could be an okay popcorn flick. Click below to take a look. The film hits UK cinemas in October.

Showgirls 2: The Return Red Band Trailer – No, I can’t believe there’s a Showgirls 2 either

24th February 2010 By Tim Isaac

Although Showgirls is renowned for being awful and a big flop, it was actually financially quite successful and so perhaps it isn’t that surprising that some Germans have rounded up the cash to make a sequel. Now a trailer for the film has been released, which appears to have nothing to do with the Paul Verhoeven movie and seems to be more a mix of cheesy 80s German porn that’s trying to be arty and some random Las Vegas tourism shots. I get the feeling the film only exists to show it is possible to make a movie worse than Showgirls. I’ve embedded the trailer below, which is utterly bizarre and definitely NSFW, so if you’re over 18, click below and prepare to be stunned by how awful and amateurish it looks.
