It’s safe to say that even though it’s only March, Tron Legacy is already shaping to be one of the most anticipated (and certainly most hyped) movies of the year. A new trailer was launched on Friday to play before Alice In Wonderland, and while that showed off the 3D, a two-dimensional version has now appeared online. Although it takes a while to get going while it takes us back to Fynn’s arcade, it’s very cool once we get into the CG world. Earlier test footage that was released suggested it was gonna look good, but the trailer promises visuals that verge on the remarkable. Click below to take a look. Tron Legacy is out in December.
New Iron Man 2 Trailer – Loads of new footage in fresh look at the upcoming blockbuster
A brand new trailer for Iron Man 2 has been released, and although it starts out with footage we’ve already seen, it soon moves into bits and pieces that are brand new, including more on Mickey Rourke as Whiplash and plenty of spectacular stunts and special effect. Plus it’s good to see Gary Shandling getting work, as well as a much better look at both Don Cheadle (who’s got his own iron man suit), Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow and even a little bit of Sam Jackson as Nick Fury. Click below to watch and prepare to get excited! Iron Man 2 hits the UK on April 30th.
New Runaways Trailer – Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning rock out
The presence of Twilight’s Kristen Stewart alone has been enough to raise the profile of The Runaways exponentially. We had the teaser trailer a couple of months ago, and now comes a slightly more lengthy look at the movie. Stewart and Dakota Fanning star as Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, who formed the ‘jailbait rock’ group, The Runaways, in the mid-70s, which found success before disintegrating due to the member’s rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle of drugs and excess. Thankfully this trailer makes it look less teen flick than the teaser did. Click below to take a look.
Legend Of The Guardians Trailer – First promo for Zach Snyder’s owly animated treat
Legend Of The Guardians (previously known as The Guardians Of Ga’Hoole) is starting to look pretty cool. Yesterday we had the first images, and now comes the trailer. Animated by the team behind Happy Feet and directed by Watchmen and 300’s Zach Snyder, it looks like, it nothing else, it’s going to be absolutely beautiful. The movie is based on the first three book in Karen Lasky’s series, about Soren, a young barn owl, who is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie’s, which is meant to be an orphanage but actually brainwashes owlets into becoming soldiers. Soren and his new friends escape to the island of Ga’Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie’s. Click below to watch the trailer. Legend Of The Guardians hits UK cinemas on October 15th.
Barry Munday Trailer – Patrick Wilson tries out the world’s worst haircut and loses his testicles
Patrick Wilson is a great actor, but despite roles in the likes of Watchmen and Little Children, he never seems to be able to catch the break that would turn him into a big star. That said, while Barry Munday probably won’t do it for him, this grown up gross-out comedy does look a lot of fun. Wilson plays the title character who’s a bit of sleaze but whose life rund out of control when he loses his testicles in an accident and then discovers that a one-night stand is now pregnant. The trailer makes it look very funny, and perhaps a bit more intelligent than you might expect from the synopsis. Although there’s no release date set as yet (the trailer has been released because its premiering soon at the SXSW Festival), click below for the promo
After.Life Trailer – Christina Ricci just won’t believe she’s dead!
Now this one looks incredibly creepy. Christina Ricci wakes up on a mortician’s slab, only to be told by Liam Neeson that he’s the only person who can see or hear her now because she’s dead and needs to accept that so she can transition to the afterlife. However she’s isn’t easily convinced that she has kicked the bucket and her still alive boyfriend (Justin long) suspects that she may still be alive too. But is she? Is Liam Neeson just some sick psycho or can he really talk to the deceased? Or maybe Ricci just needs Haley Joel Osment to come along and convince her she ain’t alive anymore? Agh, it’s all too confusing. Unfortunately After.Life doesn’t have a UK release date yet, but it certainly seems like it’ll be worth a look when it does come out. Click below to watch the trailer.
