Disney is certainly building the hype for Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time with the release of a steady stream of trailers and featurettes. Two more have popped up online – a rather generic one looking at Dastan’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) destiny in the film, and other focussing on the actor playing young Dastan (William Foster), who had parkour training to play the role. They’re not bad and feature some new footage, as well as a decent look at what the film is all about, with Dastan protecting a dagger that can hopefully prevent an evil ruler from unleashing The Sands Of Time, which will destroy the country. Click below to take a look at the new featurettes. Prince of Persia hits cinemas on May 28th.
First Look At Priest – ET Canada takes a sneak peak at the Paul Bettany vampire flick
A sort of The Searchers with vampires, Priest stars Paul Bettany as a cleric who goes against the laws of the church to hunt the vampires who kidnapped his niece. While that sounds pretty cool, one word of caution should be that the film re-teams Bettany with Legion director Scott Stewart, which was another movie that sounded good – until we actually saw it, that is. However with Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Stephen Moyer and Karl Urban also starring in Priest, we still have high hopes. Now we get our first look at the film, as ET Canada went onto the set on the last day of filming, chatted with Bettany and got some behind-the-scenes footage. Click below to take a look. The film should hit cinemas early next year.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Sneak Peak – Behind-the-scenes with the cast and crew
Last week we had the trailer and now a sneak peak for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has popped up online. It’s actually a bonus feature on the New Moon DVD, but is now available so everyone can get their vampire and werewolf fix. With plenty of behind-the-scenes footage, as well as interviews with the cast and crew (and may I say how daft people look when they’re in their vampire make-up but doing normal interviews), it should get any Twilighter excited. They seem to be pushing the male angle, hoping that more boys will turn up for this one, as it’s got more action and an army of bloodsuckers descending on Forks. Click below to take a look. Eclipse hits UK cinemas on July 7th.
Predators Sneak Peak – First look at the upcoming much-anticipated sequel
Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal have been busy at work in the past few months on their official Predator sequel, simply known as Predators. Yesterday they premiered the first footage from the film at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, and just so that the rest of us don’t miss out, they’ve released some of that online, as well as Robert Rodriguez talking about the movie. Although we don’t get to see much of the Predators themselves (or the new race of Predators the film will feature), there are some designs for the promised alien animals (think of the sort of attack dog a Predator would want). The movie sees the aliens kidnapping a bunch of the most bad-ass humans they can find and dumping them on their planet, so they can be hunted. Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne and Topher Grace star, and the movie – which unlike the recent Alien vs. Predator movies is promised as a bloody, violent R-rated flick – should be in cinemas this summer.
Shrek Forever After Trailer – Full preview for the final Shrek installment
While we had a teaser a couple of months ago, Dreamworks Animation has now released the first full trailer for the upcoming final instalment in the Shrek series. However while this is supposedly the last film with all the crew, don’t worry as they’re already planning a Puss In Boots spin-off for next year, and I wouldn’t be shocked if Shrek 5 turns up in a few years time. However, Shrek Forever After sees Shrek going a bit It’s A Wonderful Life, with the big ogre discovering what would have happened if he’d never gone to Far, Far, Away, and realising that without him there, his friends would be in serious trouble. The movie hits cinemas in May, but click below for the trailer.
Streetdance 3D Trailer – British film is going three dimensional with Britain’s Got Talent winners
The UK is going three-dimensional and using everybody who’s ever danced in Britain’s Got Talent to do it. Streetdance, Britain’s first digtial 3D movie, follows in the footsteps of the likes of Step Up and Save The Last Dance, with an urban dance crew determined to win the UK Streetdance Championships, who are forced to work with Royal Ballet dancers in return for rehearsal space. While they initially seem to have nothing in common, as bonds are forged they realise they need to find a way to work together in order to win. The film features top ballet dancer Richard Winsor, as well as actress Nichola Burley, along with Britain’s Got Talent dance sensations George Sampson, Flawless and Diversity. The full trailer for the film has now been released, which you can watch by clicking below. The film hits UK cinemas on May 21st.
