It’s only six weeks now until Ridley Scott’s epic take on the tale of Robin Hood hits the screens, and now a new behind-the-scene featurette, featuring plenty of previously unseen footage from the film, has popped up on the net. It’s obviously a promotional piece, with the likes of Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett bigging up the action and story of the man who robs from the rick to give to the poor, but despite the big sell, it’s still pretty interesting. The film hits cinemas of May 16th, but click below for the new featurette.
Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer – Milla Jovovich is back as the kick-ass Alice
The first images from Resident Evil: Afterlife were released late last week, just in time for Sony to launch the first trailer for the fourth film in the franchise at San Francisco’s Wondercon. That promo has now shown up online, and while it doesn’t tell us much about the plot, it’s pretty much saying that if you liked the previous Resident Evil movies, you’ll like this one. Milla Jovovich runs round doing some post-apocalytic, slow-mo action with guns and any other weapon she could find, but it’s all pretty much what we’ve seen before. Hmm, I’m trying to muster up even the tiniest amount of enthusiasm for this one and so far I’m failing – even the promise of 3D isn’t doing much for me. Anyway, click below for the trailer. The film is currently scheduled for UK release on September 10th.
First The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Film Clip – Plus, an extended sneak peak at the film
The first clip from the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has surfaced online, and almost inevitably it feature Edward and Bella being all lovey dovey and discussing whether she should become a vampire or not. He’s certainly not keen, but if she remains human, that’s gonna cause trouble with the Volturi. We’ve also got an extended version of the sneak peak at the movie we posted last week, which features more interviews with the cast and crew about the upcoming film. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits cinemas on July 9th, but you can click below to watch the film clip and the extended sneak peak.
First Clash Of The Titans Film Clip – Perseus takes on the blind Graiae
It’s only a couple of weeks until Clash of The Titans hits cinemas on April 2nd, and now the first clip from the movie has surfaced on MySpace (and is embedded below, so take a look). The film follows Perseus on his jounrey to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus. This leads the demigod and his men into battle against all sorts of mythological creatures. He also gets to meet the Graiae, who we see in this clip – three old blind women who share a single eye and guard the island where the gorgons, including Medusa, live.
Megamind Teaser Trailer – First look at Dreamworks Animation’s supervillain CG flick
Even before any images or footage arrived, there’ve been many who’ve thought Dreamworks Animation’s Megamind was in trouble and turning a good idea into something far less interesting. The name got changed from Ooobermind to Megamind, then Robert Downey Jr stepped down as the main character and was replaced by Will Ferrell – neither of which were good signs. However now we get the first teaser trailer, and to be honest I think Dreamworks is gonna have to do more to convince the doubters, as it’s rather cheesy and looks like it’s trying too hard. The film itself is about a criminal mastermind, Oobermind, who defeats his nemesis, Metro Man (Pitt). However with nobody around to try and stop his evil plans, Oobermind falls into despair, as everything’s become far too easy. To try and spice up his life he creates a new rival, Titan (Hill). The only problem is that Titan wants to be a supervillain too, and Oobermind may be the only person who can stop him! Click below to watch the trailer. Megamin hits cinemas on December 3rd.
Predators Trailer – The Rodriguez-Antal sequel looks like it’s gonna kick ass
Last weekend we had a behind-the-scenes sneak peak at Predators, and now we’ve got the full trailer, which should help convert those who’ve been a bit uncertain about Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal’s official sequel to the Predator movies. The flick sees the aliens kidnapping a bunch of the most bad-ass humans they can find and dumping them on their planet, so they can be hunted. Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne and Topher Grace star, and the movie – which unlike the recent Alien vs. Predator movies is promised as a bloody, violent R-rated flick – should be in cinemas this summer. The trailer manages the neat trick of seeming rather 80s, while also looking fresh. However like the sneak peak, if you’re hoping for a good look at the new breed on Predators, as well as the promised predatro animals, you’ll have to wait.
