There’s a lot of hope for Grown Ups, as it re-teams Adam Sandler with director Dennis Dugan and co-writer Tim Herlihy, who all worked together previously on Happy Gilmore and Big Daddy. It’s also quite a star-studded comedy affair, with Sandler joined by Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider and David Spade, as five men who were once on a baseball team together as kids, and reunite to honour the passing of their coach. With their wives (including Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, and Maya Rudolph) and kids in two, they head off for the weekend together, to reconnect and have fun. The new trailer for the film is now online, and it does look very entertaining. Click below to watch it. Grown Ups is due in cinemas on August 6th.
Killers UK Trailer – Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl get out their guns
We’ve just been sent this UK trailer for the upcoming Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl action comedy Killers. Although it’s similar to the US one we ran previously, it also features some new bits and pieces we haven’t seen before. The slightly rather Mr & Mrs Smith premise (which also has shades of the upcoming Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz flick, Knight & Day) follows Ashton Kutcher as a guy who settles down from his jet-setting espionage life to marry Katherine Heigl’s happy-go-lucky computer tech. However, after three years of domestic bliss, he discovers there’s a hit out on his head, and that the killers have been stalking him for years and could be virtually anyone he knows. First stop is to confess his real job to his wife. The Robert Luketic film is due out in the UK on June 16th, but click below for the UK trailer.
New Toy Story 3 Virals – Woody and co. get caught on a creepy security cam
Now that all the new Toy Story 3 characters have been revealed, Disney is finding new ways to build the hype for July 23rd release of the movie. This time around we have a couple of viral videos, one a rather creepy, seemingly Paranormal Activity inspired vid, which captures Woody and co. on night-vision security cameras, while the other compares grown-up big boy toys with the classics. They’re both fun, so take a look at them below.
Predators Featurettes – The Film and Edwin – Get a closer look at the movie and Topher Grace’s character
Having initially been farily secretive about the film, Rovert Rodriguez is now pumping out the featurettes to build hype for Predators, which sees the infamous dreadlocked aliens kidnapping a bunch of the most bad-ass humans they can find and dumping them on their planet, so they can be hunted. We’ve already had a trailer and a featurette looking at Royce (Adrien Brody), and now two more have shown up, one of which features clips from the film and Rodriguez discussing the the use of CG, and the other focussing on Topher Grace’s Edwin. Click below to take a look. Predators is due out in the UK on August 13th, 2010.
Prince Of Persia Featurette – Stunts and Parkour – It’s action all the way in the mega-budget flick
The promotion for Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time, which is due out on May 21st, has certainly focussed on the action and special effects, with little attention paid to the story. That’s certainly true of this new featurette, where Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and co. discuss doing their own stunts, and how they got some of the world’s best Parkour masters in to do wire-free jumping about for the flick. Click below to take a look. In case you’re wondering, in the film Jake Gyllenhaal’s Dastan teams up with Gemma Arterton’s Tamina to stop an evil vizier unleashing the Sands Of Time, which will destroy the kingdom.
New Nightmare On Elm Street Clip – Don’t fall asleep in the supermarket!
I think it’s fairly safe to safe the Freddy Kreuger is not a nice guy, and he certainly doesn’t seem to have mellowed in the remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street, which is due out May 7th. A new clip from the film has now emerged, in which a young woman has to face off against Freddy after going to the supermarket and ending up dreaming while she’s still awake. The clip also gives us what is probably our best look yet at Jackie Earle Haley’s burnt killer, who’s decidedly more gruesome than the 80s version. Click below to take a look.
