Robert Rodriguez continues his roll-out of featurettes introducing us to the characters in Predators, the new official sequel that sees the infamous dreadlocked aliens kidnapping a bunch of the most bad-ass humans they can find and dumping them on their planet, so they can be hunted. We’ve already had looks at Adrien Brody’s Royce and Topher Grace’s Edwin, and now its the turn of Alice Braga’s Isabelle. Predators is released in the UK on August 11th, but click below for the new featurette.

Easy A – Olive Pendergast Teaser – Emma Stone falls in love with a song

21st April 2010 By Tim Isaac

Although it tells us little about the movie, this teaser for Easy A is pretty smart, as it’s funny and certainly suggests Will Gluck’s film could be a lot of fun, as well as that Emma Stone’s character of Olive Pendergast is well worth looking out for. After all, there’s plenty of time to tell us what it’s actually about before it gets released this autumn. It’s actually about a high school girl who uses the rumour mill to improve her social and financial standing. Click below for the funny teaser.

HIGH School Teaser Trailer – Peculiar intro to Sundance comedy hit

21st April 2010 By Tim Isaac

Here’s a bit of an odd one. The first promo for HIGH School, which was a big comedy hit at the Sundance Film Festival, has been released. The movie itself is about a high school valedictorian who gets stoned and then finds himself subject to a random drugs test, and who tries to nullify this by getting the entire graduating class high. However this teaser doesn’t let you know anything about that, instead suggesting something far stranger and darker, with Adrien Brody talking about how he wants to ‘fuck’ everything, and not in a making sweet love way. Anyway, click below to take a look. The film should hit the UK later this year.

New Beastly Trailer – Fresh look at the Beauty and the Beast update

21st April 2010 By Tim Isaac

I know I’m probably meant not meant to be looking forward to this film, as it seems to have been designed for eight-year-old girls, but I have to say the more I see the more I like it. Beastly is an update of the Beauty and the Beast story, with Alex Pettyfer playing a young, looks-obsessed man who’s cursed to be ugly, and who will stay like it forever if he doesn’t find true love within a year. In step Vanessa Hudgens, who may be his ticket out of the freak show. While there’s been a previous trailer, this new one gives us a better look at the film, including Mary Kate Olsen’s vampish witch and Neil Patrick Harris as a blind tutor. The film is currently due out in the UK on September 17th, but click below for the new trailer.

Get Low Trailer – Bill Murray plans Robert Duvall’s funeral

20th April 2010 By Tim Isaac

Robert Duvall, Bill Murray, Sissy Spacek – what more could you want? A trailer for the period drama Get Low has emerged and it looks like it could be fantastic. Loosely based on the true story of a hermit who lived for 40 years in the Tennessee woods, Felix Bush (Duvall) decides it is time to plan his funeral, but he wants to be alive to see it. Organised by a local undertaker, played by Bill Murray, and his sidekick, played by Lucas Black, the funeral will be more party than memorial and an event to which anyone and everyone will be invited and at which Bush will reveal a long kept secret. The film is due out in the US this July, but as yet no UK release has been set.

Prince Of Persia Featurette – Hassansins – Take a look at ass-kicking bad guys

19th April 2010 By Tim Isaac

The onslaught of Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time featurettes continues with a look at the Hassansins, a bunch of evil assassins, who are all incredibly trained warriors with special talents and their own unique weapons. The featurette once more concentrates on the action and special effects in the film, which certainly look suitably spectacular and over the top. Click below to take a look. In case you’re wondering, in the film Jake Gyllenhaal’s Dastan teams up with Gemma Arterton’s Tamina to stop an evil vizier (Ben Kingsley) unleashing the Sands Of Time, which will destroy the world. Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is due out on May 21st.
