Over the last few weeks Robert Rodriguez has released a number of character featurettes for Predators, and this is supposedly the last, concentrating on Laurence’s Fishburne’s crazy Noland. Predators sees the infamous dreadlocked aliens kidnapping a bunch of the most bad-ass humans they can find and dumping them on their planet, so they can be hunted. Click below to take a look at the new featurette, and if you like that, watch the ones for Alice Braga’s Isabelle, Adrien Brody’s Royce, Danny Trejo’s Cuchillo and Topher Grace’s Edwin.
The Hole Trailer – Joe Dante’s creepy 3D family flick looks nuts
Joe Dante’s The Hole (in 3D) seems to be taking a long time to get to cinemas. The Gremlins director shot it in 2008, started screening it at festivals last autumn, but it’s only now that the first trailer has arrived (and even then only because initially a bootleg got released, that’s now been replaced by a proper version). It should reach the UK on September 24th, with the delay possibly being because while it looks kinda cool, it also appears to be completely nuts. After moving to a small town, two brothers and their new next door neighbour discover a seemingly bottomless hole hidden under a trapdoor in the cellar, however opening the hole unleashes all manner of evil. So basically it’s like the 1980s claymation toon series The Trap Door, but with more 3D CGI special effects. Click below to watch the trailer.
You Again Trailer – Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver just can’t get over high school
I’ve already decided this must be a five-star movie, not because it looks like anything more than a generic rom com, but because it has Betty White in it, who even at the age of 88 puts nearly all other comedy actresses to shame. She’s playing the grandmother in You Again, opposite Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Chenoweth and Odette Yustman. The movie is about a woman (Bell) who discovers her brother is planning to marry the person who made her high school years a living hell. She sets out to convince her sibling his fiancee isn’t the nice girl she appears to be. It also turns out Bell’s mother (Lee Curtis) and the prospective mother-in-law (Weaver), had high school rivalries of their own. It’s an impressive female line-up, and hopefully the film itself will prove to be as funny as the trailer.
Prince of Persia Featurette – Princess Tamina – Gemma Arterton discusses her character
It’s only a couple of weeks now until Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time hits cinemas on May 21st, and Disney has sent us the link to their latest featurette promoting the release. The promo concentrates on Gemma Arterton’s Princess Tamina, with the actress discussing the role and the joy of becoming a Disney Princess and the challenges of creating the film’s middle-eastern fantasy world. It’s worth a look, so click below.

Winter’s Bone Trailer – First look at the Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner
Back in January, one of the big winners at the Sundance Film Festival was the relatively unheralded Winter’s Bone, which picked up both the Grand Jury and the Screenwriting awards. Now the trailer for the movie has arrived, which gives us our first taste of what excited the Sundance voters so much. The film is about an unflinching Ozark Mountain girl who hacks through dangerous social terrain as she hunts down her drug-dealing father while trying to keep her family intact. The movie is currently set for a UK release on September 17th, but click below for the trailer.
