If you’ve seen any of the trailers for The Expendables, you’ll have little idea what the movie is about, but that’s because the filmmakers know the story doesn’t matter when you’ve got this many action stars all in one movie. This new teaser trailer doesn’t nothing to help matters, and indeed bascially just says, ‘Wouldn’t you like to see a film with all these people in it, irrespective of what actually happens?’ And do you know what? They’re right. Click below and let the teaser take you through the list of action luminaries. (BTW, the film sees a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator, in case you do care). The film hits UK cinemas on August 20th.
Gulliver’s Travels Trailer – Jack Black meets the mini-people of Lilliput
Just the other day the first poster for Gulliver’s Travels was released, and hot on its heels comes the initial trailer, which sees travel writer Lemuel Gulliver heading to Barbados but ending up in Lilliput instead, after his boat is caught up in a massive storm. I have a feeling not many of the special effects are finished, as the trailer spends a long time getting us to Lilliput (as if anyone really cares about that in a trailer), although it does finish up on the island, where the population of miniature people seem to have got stuck in 18th Century France mode, and aren’t sure what to make of their massive modern day visitor. Click below to take a look. The film hits cinemas this Christmas.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – Good Vs Evil Featurette – Nice Cage and co. talk about the magical new fantasy
With Prince Of Persia now in cinemas, Disney is stepping up a gear promoting its next big Jerry Bruckheimer-produced live action fantasy flick, The Sorceror’s Apprentice. In the film Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). However Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. Disney has sent over this new featurette, which featurette Cage, Baruchel and Bruckheimer talking about the movie, and telling us exactly what we can expect when it hits cinemas on August 13th.
Get Him To The Greek – The First Five Minutes – See Russell Brand singing and giving birth
Get Him To The Greek might not hit the UK might not hit the UK until June 25th, but it’s out in the US tomorrow and as a result the first five minutes have shown up on Funny Or Die, featuring Russell Brand’s Aldous Snow promoting his latest single, African Child, which sees him giving birth to a baby and generally causing havoc in interviews. It’s very funny and suggest the film will be well worth a look. The main plot sees Jonah Hill’s record company intern charged with ensuring that Snow gets to his concert at LA’s Greek Theatre. It shouldn’t come as a shock that doing that proves more than a little difficult. Click below to watch the first five minutes of the film…
