Now this is more like it! Although not an official trailer for the movie, a fan has taken it upon themselves to take what a lot of men were thinking and turn it into a promo for The Expendables. There’s a lot of excitiment over the film, due to the fact the cast includes Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis, Statham, Rourke, Jet Li, Steve Austin and loads more action heavies, and so this trailer suggests it’s men’s last chance to take back the cinema, which it sees as having been overrun by teenage girl. The Experiment Trailer – Adrien Brody and co. play prisoners and guards
I think we better set out sights fairly low for this one, as despite a cast including Adrien Brody, Cam Gigandet, Forest Whitaker, Maggie Grace, Travis Fimmel and Clifton Collins Jr., it’s heading straight to DVD in the US, which doesn’t suggest anyone has much faith in it. It’s a great shame, as the movie is a belated remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel’s excellent 2001 German movie of the same name, which in turn was inspired by the infamous 1971 Stanford prison experiment into the psychological effects of becoming a prisoner or a guard. In the movie, a group of people looking for cash agree to take part in an experiment, where they will become either prisoner or guard, and while the rules say the guards can’t hit the prisoners, things quickly spiral out of control. Click below to watch the trailer, but ever the promo makes it look a bit silly and OTT.
The Sorceror’s Apprentice – Character Trailer – Best look yet at the plot of the upcoming fantasy
While The Sorceror’s Apprentice hits US cinemas this Friday, it doesn’t arrive in the UK until August 11th. However over in the States they’ve released a pretty cool new trailer for the film, which introduces us to the characters and gives us a better look at the plot than we’ve had before. It’s well worth a look so click to see it below. In the film Nicolas Cage stars as Balthazar Blake, a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). However Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé.

Over the weekend, ABC Family in the US was having a bit of a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows weekend, which included a few new featurettes featuring frech footage and the cast and crew talking about the movie. We brought you one of the featurettes on Saturday, and now a couple more have arrived, focussing on the fact that much of the movie sees Harry, Ron and Hermione on the run, trying to avoid Voldemort’s followers, while tracking down the Horcruxes that contain parts of the evil one’s soul. Salt Featurette – Angelina Jolie gets accused of being a sleeper agent
While trailers for Salt came out earlier this year, they seem to have slightly put the brakes on the marketing push for for the Angelina Jolie action movie while all the big summer blockbusters were clamouring for attention. However now the film is only a few weeks from its July 23rd US release (it’ll reack the UK on August 20th) and so they’re trying to ratchet up the interest again. A new Inside Look featurette has been released, featuring the likes of Jolie and director Phillip Noyce talking about the film, in which Jolie plays CIA Operative Evelyn Salt, who goes on the run after being accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. She must not only prove her innocence and protect her family, but also stop the authorities from erasing all trace of her existence. It has to be said though, that the film couldn’t have had better timing, what with the recent Russian sleeper ring being uncovered in America and Friday’s spy swap.
