While there’s been talk of behind-the-scenes problems on the film, Seth Rogen, director Michel Gondry and the rest of the Green Hornet crew were in San Diego a couple of weeks ago, hyping their movie to the max at Comic-Con. As with the Resident Evil: Afterlife featurette we’ve just posted, Sony has now released a highlights reel of the film’s convention shenanigans, featuring a look at both the panel of what was happening on the show floor. So click below to take a look. The Green Hornet hits cinemas next January.
Resident Evil: Afterlife Comic-Con Featurette – Take a look at what the film got up to in San Diego
Sony Pictures was really bigging up Resident Evil: Afterlife at Comic-Con and now they’ve released a featurette including some brief new footage and the likes of director Paul W.S. Anderson, Milla Jovovich, Wentworth Miller and Ali Larter talking about the further adventures of Alice, and her battles with nasty creatures and the Umbrella Corporation. The film is due out on September 10th, but click below for the featurette.
Interactive Scott Pilgrim Trailer – Fab facts and info in this great new feature
They’re certainly having a lot of fun with the internet marketing for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and now they’ve outdone themselves with a supber interactive trailer, which is amongst the best of this type of thing I’ve ever seen. As the trailer plays, you click on it to collect points, which also gives you access to fun facts, audio comments from director Edgar Wright and little featurettes, and you ‘Achivements’ give you access to film clips and the likes of downloadable wallpapers. It’s all very clever and in keeping with the movie, so click below and have fun! Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, starring Michael Cera, hits UK cinemas on August 25th.
New The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Trailer – More effects this time around as Lucy and Edmund return
The trailers for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader seem keen not to tell us what the film is about, other than Lucy and Edmund going back to the magical land (and this trailer adds in Suan and Peter too, although they don’t really feature much in the C.S. Lewis book), instead trying to make it look glossy and exciting, with plenty of special effects. It’s probably a good plan, as Prince Caspian didn’t do as well as expected, partly because the marketing made it seem a little dull. This time around Edmund, Lucy and their cousin Eustace get sucked into the magical realm, and head off on the ship, the Dawn Treader, helping Caspian find the seven lost Lords of Narnia. The movie arrives in UK cinemas, December 10th, 2010, but click below for the new trailer.
Jackass 3D Trailer – The boys are back and as nutty as ever
It may have been four years since their last movie, but the advent of digital 3D has caused Paramount to pony up the cash to make another Jackass movie, hoping that the lure of Johnny Knoxville and co. hitting each and smashing into thing in three-dimensions will be enough to draw punters in. It’s a good plan, as the Jackass films cost virtually nothing to make but do good business, and you can imagine a lot of people being intrigued by the 3D stunts. However, as this in the interweb, we only get two-dimensions in this first trailer, which shows it’s pretty much wacky business as usual for the Jackass crew. The film is due out this autumn.
Unstoppable Trailer – First Look at the Denzel Washington and Chris Pine action flick
Unstoppable had a few problems getting made, as just before the movie was due to go into production, Paramount looked at the budget, decided it was too big and took an axe to it. This caused Denzel Washington to leave after being given a paycut – only for him to return – as well as director Tony Scott having to look at ways to do things on the cheap. However there’s little evidence of this in the new trailer, which actually makes the film look like it could be quite fun, if a little silly. Unstoppable sees a runaway, unmanned train on a collision course that could kill hundreds, with Washington and Chris Pine as train engineers who may be the only ones who can avert the disaster. The film is currently due in UK cinemas on November 12th, but click below for the trailer.
