With Back To The Future getting a remastered cinema re-release on October 1st, ahead of its Blu-ray debut later that month, it’s never been a better time for fans. Now a new featurette has popped up online, which will be amongst the BD features, in which Robert Zemeckis and co. talk about where the initial idea for the classic time travel comedy came from. While it’s still tough to believe BTTF is 25 years old, at least Universal is having quite a celebration, so click below to take a look at the new featurette.
The Fighter Trailer – First look at Bale and Wahlberg in David O’Russell’s film
The battle of the Oscar bait movies is starting and one of those lining up for consideration if The Fighter, David O’Russell’s film starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams. The movie based on the true story of Boston fighter “Irish” Mickey Ward and how he was helped to the world lightweight championship by half-brother Dicky Eklund. Eklund once decked Sugar Ray Leonard and went the distance against the boxing legend before forfeiting his career to drugs and crime. The Tourist Trailer – Do Depp and Jolie make a dream team in the action thriller?
Since it was first announced, the teaming of Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie is an action thriller has seemed like a very potent combination, and now the first trailer for the movie, which will hit cinemas this December, has arrived online. Depp plays Frank, who decides to take a trip to Europe to men his broken heart. Once there his path crosses that of the beautiful Elise (Jolie) and what initially seems like a simple flirtation soon builds into a massive web of intrigue, as it becomes apparent the two didn’t meet accidentally, and Frank is thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse. The Social Network Interactive Trailer – Now with added info, commentaries and more
In recent months, movie companies have been doing some interesting things with interactive trailers, perhaps the best of which so far is the one for Scott Pilgrim. However this new one for David Fincher’s The Social Network is pretty good too, allowing you to access commentaries, info, articles and more as you watch. It’s well worth playing with. The film itself is about the setting up of the behemoth that is Facebook, and how it went from the idea of a bunch of college kids to a multi-billion dollar entity, causing no end of problems for the founders. New Tangled Trailer – The latest great look at Disney’s upcoming take on Rapunzel
It’s not out until January 28th, 2011 in the UK, but Disney is already busy promoting its first CGI fairytale film, Tangled, which is based on the story of Rapunzel. In a new take on the classic tale, when the kingdoms most wanted – and most charming – bandit Flynn Rider hides out in a mysterious tower, hes taken hostage by Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynns curious captor, whos looking for her ticket out of the tower where shes been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. Easy A – The First 10 Minutes – Take a look at the opening of the Emma Stone comedy
Easy A looks like it could be a lot of fun, a movie about young people that’s both humourous and sweet, with Emma starring as Olive Pendergast, a girl whose life start mirroring Hester Prynne’s in The Scarlet Letter after a little white lie about her virginity gets out of hand. She then decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. Now the first 10 minutes of the movie have popped up online, and suggest that it’ll be well worth watching, with a fun attitude, entertaining way of telling its story and the hints that it may have more to offer than your usual movies about teens and sex.
