I’m quite looking forward to Skyline, even if all the trailers have shown us are people running away from alien beasties that are trying to abducts the world’s population. Hopefully there’s a bit more story than that, but hey, it worked for Cloverfield. Now a fun new clip from the film has shown up over at Moviefone (it’s embedded below), showing some of the cast attempting to escape a creature that’s not too happy to have them around. The movie’s out on November 12th, but take a look below to get a bit of a preview of the Strause borthers’ film). Skyline itself sees a group of friends awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an extraterrestrial force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now a band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.
Two New Clips From Unstoppable – Denzel Washington and Chris Pine are out to stop a runaway train
The jury’s still out on whether the runaway train flick Unstoppable is going to be any good or not, but it’s coming to cinemas on November 24th, and Fox is keen to ensure it looks like it might be worth watching. They’ve now released two new clips, and while the first makes Unstoppable look dull at ditchwater, the second is actually pretty cool. Directed by Tony Scott, Unstoppable sees a runaway, unmanned train on a collision course that could kill hundreds, with Denzel Washington and Chris Pine as train engineers who may be the only ones who can avert the disaster. Sanctum Trailer – James Cameron takes us caving in a new action-adventure
Well, after watching the trailer for Sanctum, one thing’s for sure. I really don’t want to go caving. Produced by James Cameron and inspired by true events, the film follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea. Starring Ioan Gruffudd and Richard Roxburgh, the movie uses the same 3D photography techniques Cameron developed for Avatar. It certainly look like it could be a bit intense, even if it does lack the creeping baddies of The Descent. Click below to watch the trailer.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Featurette – The cast and crew discuss the epic finale
Are you excited? It’s only a few weeks until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 hits cinemas, and with that in mind, a new featurette about the film has shown up online. Starting with footage from the other flicks, the featurette discusses how we got to this point and what we can expect from the first part of the epic finale to the wiwardy adventures. There’s also plenty of very cool footage, so click below to take a look. The movie hits cinemas on November 17th.
TRON: Legacy Music Video – Derezzed – Listen to the Daft Punk tune with the new official video
I think it’s more than fair to say that there has been nothing released for TRON: Legacy so far that has looked anything except insanely cool, and this music video for one of Daft Punk’s tunes from the flick is no exception (yes we had a previous version of this, which was basically just a glorified trailer, but now the official music video is here, although we’ve kept the previous version as well). It’s fun video, that’s good at keeping the 80s TRON vibe, while offering up a hint of the massive electronic vista of the new movie. TRON: Legacy hits UK cinemas on December 17th.
Never Say Never Trailer – All the Justin Bieber you can handle, and in 3D!
While most people over 30 are still unsure exactly what a Justin Bieber is, to the tween crowd he’s, like, oh my god, just so dreamy. From Youtube sensation to No.1 artist, the 16-year-old has certainly had an incredible rise to face in a very short space of time, plucked from obscurity in Canada after posting videos of himself singing on the web. So to cash in on the phenomenon, Paramount has put together the 3D flick Never Say Never, which is part concert movie and part documentary about his Justin’s short life (with plenty of ‘believe in youself’ and ‘live your dream’ messages chucked in). While it only started shooting a few weeks ago, the movie will be in cinemas in February, and now the trailer has shown up. So if you’re an 8-16 year old girl, click below and prepare to swoon, while everyone else can watch the promo and wonder what all the Bieber-ing fuss is about.
