Jane Eyre Trailer – Mia Wasikowska stars in Charlotte Bronte’s classic

10th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

Although movie versions of classic novels tend to be very variable, with Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender starring, and Karyn Fukunaga, who made the excellent Sin Nombre, directing, the new adpatation of Jane Eyre is more intriguing than most. Now the first trailer has debuted, and it certainly sells the gothic and romantic aspects of the story. Here’s the official synopsis: ‘Based on Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel, the romantic drama stars Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds” in the lead roles. In the story, Jane Eyre flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester. The isolated and imposing residence – and Mr. Rochester’s coldness – have sorely tested the young woman’s resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned. As Jane reflects upon her past and recovers her natural curiosity, she will return to Mr. Rochester – and the terrible secret that he is hiding…’ Click below for the trailer. The film arrives in cinemas next spring.

The Zookeeper Teaser Trailer – Kevin James doesn’t want to talk with the animals

8th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

It may only be a minute long, but the teaser for The Zookeeper certainly does a good job of making sure audiences realise that this is basically Night At The Museum, but with zoo animals. In the film Kevin James plays Griffin, a kindhearted zookeeper who’s about to leave the zoo, as he thinks it’s the only way he’ll have time to find a lady. However the animals want him to stay, so they break their code and begin to talk to him, although as this trailer shows, Griffin may not be ready to hear them. Clicke below for the trailer. The Zookeeper hits cinemas next July.

The Dilemma UK Trailer – Vince Vaughn can’t tell his friend his wife’s cheating

8th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

While we’ve posted a couple of US trailers for Ron Howard’s new movie, The Dilemma, the official UK trailer for the movie has now arrived, so we’ve embedded it below. We’ve also been sent the official synopsis, so here it is: Vince Vaughn and Kevin James headline an all-star comedy from director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer about a man who finds out that what you don’t say to a friend is just as important as what you do.  Jennifer Connelly, Winona Ryder, Channing Tatum and Queen Latifah join them in The Dilemma, a story of how far you can bend a brotherly bond before it snaps.

Since college, confirmed bachelor Ronny (Vaughn) and happily married Nick (James) have been through thick and thin.  Now partners in an auto design firm, the two pals are vying to land a dream project that would launch their company.  With Ronny’s girlfriend, Beth (Connelly), and Nick’s wife, Geneva (Ryder), by their sides, they’re unbeatable.

But Ronny’s world is turned upside down when he inadvertently sees Geneva out with another man and makes it his mission to get answers.  As the amateur investigation dissolves his world into comic mayhem, he learns that Nick has a few secrets of his own.  Now, with the clock ticking and pressure mounting on the biggest presentation of their careers, Ronny must decide how and when he will reveal the truth to his best friend.

The Dilemma will be in cinemas January 21st, 2011.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Teaser Trailer – Po is back and he wants to stare you out!

8th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

5 Days Of August Promo Trailer – Val Kilmer and Andy Garcia try to survive the war in Georgia

8th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

While for the past few years, Die Hard 2 director Renny Harlin has been seen as sliding into oblivion with ever worse movies, he’s trying to come back with a vengeance with 5 Days Of August (previously known as Georgia), where he goes very serious and tries to deal with the war between Russia and Georgia in 2008, a conflict which most in the west have already forgotten. The film focuses on an American journalist, his cameraman, and a Georgian native who become caught in the crossfire as Russia and Georgia launch attacks on each other over border disputes. The movie stars Val Kilmer, Richard Coyle, Dean Cain, Any Garcia, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Heather Graham and Rupert Friend. While no release dates has yet been set, a promo trailer, designed to entice potential distributors, has shown up online, so click below to take a look. It certainly look quite gritty and action-packed.

Friends With Benefits Red Band Trailer – Mila Kunis and Justin Timeberlake shag away

8th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

It’s the battle of the casual sex trailers! On Friday we posted the first promo for No Strings Attached, which stars Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher as friends who decide to add emotionless sex to the mix, but find it tougher to stay detached than they expected. At the time we mentioned it had competition in the form of Friends With Benefits, which has basically the same premise but with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis as the shag happy mates. Now a red band trailer for that movie has arrived, although if you’re hoping that means it’s full of nudity, you’ll be disappointed, as there’s just a bit of rolling around in bed and Mila Kunis saying ‘fuck’. However it does potentially look more fun than No Strings Attached, even if it will be handicapped by coming out next July, several months after the Kutcher and Portman flick.
