Last week we posted the first official trailer for the alien invasion movie Battle: Los Angeles, and now a very different international one has arrived (originally posted on a French site). While the US promo kept with the tactic of slowly selling the idea of a movie about realistic warfare, but against aliens, this international one is much more traditional and tells us a lot more about what the movie will actually be about. The whole thing looks pretty huge and could be a fascinating watch when the movie, directed by Jonathan Liebesman and starring Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez, arrives in cinemas on March 25th.
Winnie The Pooh Trailer and Pics – Disney brings the honey obsessed bear back to the big screen
Winnie The Pooh is coming back to the big screen, and Disney has even resisted the urge to take him CG (as they have on TV), making what they desrcibe as ‘the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney animation in more than 35 years’. That’s technically true, although only because the likes of Piglet’s Big Movie and Pooh’s Heffalump Movie weren’t technically made by the company’s main animation unit. Anyway he’s back and coming to cinemas next summer. Now the first pics (see them above and below), trailer (embedded at the bottom of this post) and synopsis have arrived.
Here’s the official synopsis: ‘With the charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical bear of very little brain and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Kanga, Rooand last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail. Well a tail is either there or it isnt there, said Pooh. And yours isnt there. Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some hunny. Inspired by five stories from A.A. Milnes books in Disneys classic, hand-drawn art style.

New Season Of The Witch Trailer – Nic Cage’s delayed medieval supernatural flick gets a new promo
Originally Season Of The Witch was due in cinemas before the end of the year, but then it got put back until January 14th, so while promotion was gearing up a few months back, they’ve taken a break and are now back trying to sell the Nic Cage supernatural movie with a new trailer. Nic plays a medieval knight, charged with transporting a suspected witch to a monastery. However it turns out that maybe people back then weren’t so backward believing in evil witches after all, as this woman does appear to have all sorts of dark and dangerous powers – in fact she may be the source of the black death. It all look very silly, but could also be good fun. Click below to see what you think.
New Little Fockers Trailer Arrives – Ben Stiller needs to be the Godfocker
There were reports a couple of months ago that Universal thought their Meet The Parents sequel, Little Fockers, was in trouble. Massive reshoots were called, which included the addition of Dustin Hoffman, who’d previously bowed out of this instalment. While the studio said the reshoots were just to make it extra funny, if this trailer is anything to go by, I still don’t think we should be expecting a masterpiece – unless your idea of comedy gold is sticking pins into Robert De Niro’s erect penis, of course. The movie is out on December 22nd, and sees Gaylord Focker (Stiller) finally trying to prove to Jack (De Niro) that he really is the man of the house, when the whole family descend for the his twin’s birthday. The Eagle Trailer – Channing Tatum tries to find a lost Roman legion
It’s surprising how often two groups get a similar idea at the same time, and as a result rival film productions go into development. While often this results in one or both projects getting abandoned, in the case of films about the legendary ‘lost’ Roman Ninth Legion, we’ve ended up with two movies, Neill Marshall’s recent Centurion and Kevin MacDonald’s upcoming The Eagle (formerly known as Eagle Of The Ninth). They are slightly different though, as while Marshall’s film followed the legion itself as it went beyond the edge of the known world (i.e. into Scotland) and got decimated, The Eagle picks up the story 20 years on, with Channing Tatum as the young centurion son of the leader of Ninth, who travels to Roman Britain to try and discover what really happened to his father and to restore his reputation. He goes beyond Hadrian’s Wall with only a slave (Jamie Bell) for company, to confront the fierce tribes that live there and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle. Interestingly while stories of the Ninth Legion disappearing under unknown circumstances have been around for centuries, modern historians think they were never lost at all, but it certainly seems good fodder for the movie. Fab New TRON Legacy Trailer Online – And it finally reveals a bit of the plot
While it is starting to feel as it Disney has been promoting the release of TRON Legacy since before the first Tron movie came out 27 years ago, the movie is nearly here, with just a month and a bit to go before its December 17th release. With that in mind, Disney has released another trailer for the flick, and while earlier promos have concentrated on the astonishing looking visuals of the Tron world, this one finally gives us some plot, and reveals what Sean Flynn (Garett Hedlund) might get up to once he’s reunited with his father, Kevin (Jeff Bridges), in the virtual universe. Take a look below, and see what you think of the CGI Jeff Bridges, where he’s been de-aged, as it’s already set off some intenet controversy over whether it looks any good or not.
