Prom Teaser Trailer – Disney takes on the hgh school ritual

19th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

I think it’s fair to say that as this is a Disney movie, Prom, which looks at a group of teens preparing for the high school dance, won’t feature prom night dumpster babies and drunken one-night-stands. Nope, if this trailer if anything to go by, this is more High School Musical (but with less singing), with youngsters worried if they’ll get a date and perhaps a peck on the cheek at the end of the night. The movie follows several intersecting stories on teen life, leading up to the big night. The movie hits cinemas next spring, but click below for the teaser trailer.

I Am Number Four – Inside Look Featurette – Behind-the-scenes on the Spielberg produced teen alien flick

19th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

While the previous stuff released for the Spielberg producer alien drama I Am Number Four, such as the recent teaser trailer, has seemed to want to distance it from Twilight, interestingly this featurette appears to want to bring it closer. I suppose it’s a good plan, attempting to hook in lovers of teen action romance, as well as those who hate Twilight with every fibre of their body. The new featurette is a behins-the-scenes look, which is really an intro to the movie and its story of a group of nine young people from a planet called Lorien who have been attacked by a hostile race from another world. The youngsters and their guardians evacuate to earth, where three are killed. The protagonist, a Lorien boy, Number 4 (Alexx Pettyfer), hides in Paradise, Ohio, as a human and tries to evade his predators. The film also stars Glee’s Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand and Timothy Olyphant. The movie hits UK cinemas on February 18th, 2011, but click below for the new featurette.

Dead Awake Trailer – Rose McGowan and Nick Stahl find out what’s between life and death

19th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

It’s into the land of limbo for Nick Stahl, Rose McGowan and Amy Smart in Dead Awake, with the new trailer suggesting something that might actually be fairly interesting and a step above your usual supernatural horror flick. The film is a seductive supernatural thriller, set against the backdrop of a mysterious tragedy that shattered the lives of three people a decade ago and which sets them on a path to uncover the truth that lies between the living and the dead. Stahl plays a funeral employee obsessed with finding out what really happened a decade ago, which leads him into the supernatural and a world where nothing is as it appears to be. Narnia: Voyage Of The Dawn Treader – International Trailer – It’s actually looking pretty cool!

18th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

While we’ve had a few trailers for The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader now, they might have all looked suitably fantastical but none were particularly exciting – indeed their main message seemed to be ‘Look, special effects!’ However now a new international trailer has shown up, which has more plot than we’ve seen before, as well as more action, and for the first time makes the movie look like it might be really worth watching. Click below to see what lick below and see what Aslan, Caspian, Lucy and Edmuns will be up to. The film hits cinemas on December 9th.

Cowboys & Aliens – Teaser Trailer – First look at the Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford western sci-fi

18th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

It’s already one of the most anticipated movies of next year, and now the first teaser trailer has arrived for Cowboys & Aliens, which is directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man), and stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde. It’s a pretty cool tease, starting off looking like just a run of the mill western, with Craig as a man with no name or memory who wanders into a small frontier town. So we got the Cowboys, but where’s the Aliens? Well, they arrive towards the end of the teaser, launching an attack on the town. It’s all pretty cool, and successfully sets up the story, with Craig’s character as the only person who may be able to stop the extra-terrestrials abducting everyone in the old west, partially thanks to a strange device attached to his arm. The movie is due out in the UK August 12th, 2011, but click below for the first teaser.

Green Lantern Trailer Arrives! – First look at next year’s massive superhero movie

17th November 2010 By Tim Isaac

It’s here! The first trailer for the massive Green Lantern movie has arrived, and despite not being out until next summer, it features a surprising amount of special effects shots. The trailer seems to be trying to give off a bit of a Iron Man vibe – funny but not silly – as well as suggesting thinks will be a little Avatar, with weird alien creatures and planets. Ryan Reynolds plays test pilot Hal Jordan, who becomes the first human member of the intergalactic protectors of peace and justice, the Green Lantern corps. However when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, Jordan may be the only one who can stop it. It’s all pretty cool, and the Green Lantern’s CGI suit looks better than many expected – indeed with most of the rest of the Corps being fully CGI creations, it makes a lot of sense as it ensures the human member doesn’t stand out too much. Click below to take a look. Green Lantern hits cinemas June 17th, 2011. (BTW, the image above is a new piece of promo art released alongside the trailer.
