Black Swan Featurette – Natalie Portman – The star discusses the difficulty of dancing and acting at the same time
There’s plenty of critical buzz for Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, both for the movie itself and Natalie Portman’s performance. However it’s not just Natalie’s acting that’s impressive, it’s her dancing, as she did most of the ballet in the movie herself. She’s had lesson on-and-off since she was a child, but Black Swan involved six months of intensive training to get her ready for the role. It was quite a commitment, which she discusses in a new featurette that’s now online. In Black Swan, Portman plays Nina, a ballerina whose career seems to be taking off, but who develops a rivalry with fellow dancer, Lily (Mila Kunis), which threatens to destroy both her career and her sanity. While Nina is the personification of Swan Lake’s White Swan, Lily is more the dark side of the Black Swan. Click below to see the new featurette, The film hits UK cinemas on January 21st, 2011.

Hop Teaser Trailer – Russell Brand’s Easter Bunny goes drumming
Earlier this week, the poster for Hop appeared, giving us our first proper look at the film’s Easter Bunny, which will be voiced by Russell Brand, and now the teaser trailer is here. It gives absolutely no info, other than that the little hopper likes drumming. Indeed, from the teaser, you’d easily be forgiven for thinking it’s an entirely CGI animated movie, when it’s it’s a live action/CG mix. James Marsden plays Frank, an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny, and must take the creature in while it recovers. However the Easter Bunny turns out to be a hideous house guest, but their meeting may be what both rabbit and human need to help them learn to grow up. The film should be in UK cinemas next spring – just in time for Easter – but click below for the teaser.
Mars Needs Moms Trailer – Disney and Robert Zemeckis deal with alien parenting
Even though Disney decided to shut down Robert Zemeckis’ ImageMovers motion capture studio, one movie made at the facility, Mars Needs Moms, is still to be released. While using the same mo-cap technology as the likes of A Christmas Carol, it’s been directed by Simon Wells, rather than Zemeckis himself, who only produces.
