Waiting For Forever Trailer – Rachel Bilson goes home and finds love

22nd December 2010 By Tim Isaac

The trailer for Waiting For Forever has shown up online, but be warned, you may need your sickbag ready, just for this promo. Rachel Bilson plays Emma, who returns to her hometown when her mediocre TV show is cancelled and her father becomes ill. There she reconnects with her long lost friend Will (Tom Sturridge), and while she might have found love, she also faces a whole new set of challenges. I’m still recovering from the nausea of watching this trailer, which seems to want to be all indie, but fails miserably. Click below to take a look. The movie should be released early next year.

New Your Highness Trailer – Fantasy gets funny with James Franco and Natalie Portman

22nd December 2010 By Tim Isaac

We’ve already had a rather rude, red band trailer for You Highness, but now comes the cleaner, green band version, which is just and funny and features a fair bit of new footage from the fantasy comedy. Also just released is a new poster, which you can see above. Danny McBride plays a lazy prince who has to team up with his far more heroic brother (James Franco) in order to save his bride-to-be (Zooey Dechanel) after she’s kidnapped by an evil wizard. They also get joined by an elusive warrior, played by Natalie Portman, along the way. As you can see for the trailer, it’s quite silly and more than a little bizarre! The David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) fantasy film will arrive in cinemas next summer.

Drive Angry 3D – UK Trailer – Nic Cage is out of hell and he wants revenge!

22nd December 2010 By Tim Isaac

The UK trailer for Drive Angry has shown up over at Bleeding Cool, but you can watch it by clicking below, if you like! The rather ridiculous but potentially fun sounding flick stars Nic Cage as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath a full moon. Plus the Devil’s right hand man wants to take him back to damnation before he can complete his task. Once more, Nic Cage shows he likes to pick odd films, but the movie, which is keen to tell us it was natively shot in 3D, could be entertaining. The film will hit UK cinemas on February 25th.

Hanna Trailer – Soarise Ronan gets ready to kill in Joe Wright’s new thriller

21st December 2010 By Tim Isaac

Saorise Ronan is a killing machine, or at least she is in the trailer for Hanna, which reunites her with the director of Atonement, Joe Wright. She plays a 14-year-old girl raised in the wilds of Finland by her ex-CIA dad (Eric Bana) to be a cold-blooded killing machine. After being sent out on a mission, she must elude agents who are sent stop her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity. The trailer suggest that despite the slightly Bourne-esque plot, this could be something far darker and more interesting, especially with a teen girl killer at its core. Click below for the trailer. The movie will be in cinemas next April.

Limitless Trailer – Bradley Cooper opens up his brain power with tablets

17th December 2010 By Tim Isaac

One day, somebody’s going to make a movie where the lead character ‘plays god’ or pushes the limits of science and it all turns out really well, but that’s not what’s going to happen with Limitless (previously known as Dark Fields), which follows the usual route of everything going tits up when somebody starts messing with nature. Bradley Cooper plays out-of-work writer Eddie Morra, whose rejection by girlfriend Lindy (Abbie Cornish) confirms his belief that he has zero future. That all changes the day an old friend introduces Eddie to MDT, a designer pharmaceutical that makes him laser focused and more confident than any man alive. Now on an MDT-fueled odyssey, everything Eddie’s read, heard or seen is instantly organised and available to him. As the former nobody rises to the top of the financial world, he draws the attention of business mogul Carl Van Loon (De Niro), who sees this enhanced version of Eddie as the tool to make billions. Inevitably though, brutal side effects jeopardise his meteoric ascent. With a dwindling stash and hit men who will eliminate him to get the MDT, Eddie must stay wired long enough to elude capture and fulfill his destiny. If he can’t, he will become just another victim who thought he’d found invincibility in a bottle. The film will hit cinemas on March 18th, 2011, but click below for the trailer.

Burlesque is in UK cinemas today and it’s also celebrating scoring three Golden Globe nominations, including one in the Best Original Song category, for the tune ‘Bound To You’ (‘You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me’ was also nominated). Now Sony has released a music video of Christina Aguilera giving an intimate live performance of the tune. Take a look at it below, and if you want to know more about what the saucy, camp-looking musical is all about, click here for the trailer.
