Yes, we know many places had this up several days ago, but The Weinsten Company was yanking them down as soon as they put up, as the trailer had leaked rather than been released, so we thought we’d wait until it was properly available online, so that hopefully the video wouldn’t go dead. So here it is, the full trailer for Scream 4, showing that the movie is going even more meta and taking into account how the last decade and a half – essentially since the Scream movies first arrive – have changed the rules of horror. Indeed the killer in the film is basing his killings on Stab, which is the movie-within-a-movie from the Scream sequels taht starred Tori Spelling and was based on the events in the first film. Postmodern enough for you? Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette are back onboard, along with a new generation of potential victimes including Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin and Hayden Panetierre. It hits cinemas April 15th.
The Adjustment Bureau Featurette – Inside Look – Take a deeper look at the intriguing Matt Damon sci-fi
The Adjustment Bureau, based on a Phillip K Dick story and starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, has been intriguing ever since it was announced, even if its actual storyline has appeared a little obscure. The trailer helped, but not enormously, but now a new featurette has shown up online, which takes us deeper into the movie, and its story of a politician (Damon)whose fate seems inextricably linked to a dancer (Blunt). However strange forces are at work, with a group of agents from the mysterious Adjustment Bureau seemingly desperate to keep them apart. But exactly what’s going on. Click below to take a look at the featurette. The Adjustment Bureau hits UK cinemas on March 4th.
Rango – Behind The Scenes Featurette – Johnny Depp and co. act out and get ready to be animated
A new behind-the-scenes featurette was been sent to us for Rango, which gives us a further look into the interesting way they made the CG animated movie, which was pretty much to get all the actors in, film everything on very basic sets and then use that as a reference for the animation – so partway between freestyle animation and motion-capture (or as Johnny Depp puts it, the process was ’emotion capture’). As for the movie itself, Rango (Johnny Depp) is a pet chameleon having an indenity crisis, who heads off on an adventure into the desert. He wants to be a swashbuckling hero, and is forced to become that – despite his lack of experience – when he enters a Western town plagued by bandits. The Gore Verbinski directed film will be in cinemas On March 4th.
Sherlock Holmes 2 – ET Behind-The-Scenes – Robert Downey Jr. look lovely in a dress!
Entertainment Tonight got to go behind-the-scene on Sherlock Holmes 2, chatting to Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, bizarrely on a day where Downey is all dragged up and pretending to be a woman, which makes for a slightly bizarre interview. However they tell us a bit more about the movie, as well as giving us some backstage footage. The sequel to the 2008 hit flick sees Holmes continuing his pursuit of Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris), who, if the investigators instincts are correct, might be the worlds first supervillain. Watson, meanwhile, is still trying to be a good partner to his love, Mary Morstan (Kelly Reilly), while keeping Sherlock alive. It hits cinemas December 16th, 2011.
Rubber Trailer – Beware of psychotic killer tires!
This one is worth including just because it’s so bizarre! Rubber is due to premiere at Sundance and tell the tale of Robert, an inanimate car tire that has been abandoned in the desert, and suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes without having to move. At first content to prey on small desert creatures, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who crosses his path. Leaving a swath of destruction across the desert landscape, Robert becomes a chaotic force to be reckoned with. It’s billed as a comedy horror tribute to the cienmat concept of ‘no reason’. Take a look below for the trailer.
Mother’s Day Trailer – First look at Darren Lynn Bousman’s horror-thriller remake
We don’t see much of Rebecca De Mornay nowadays, but she’s being very creepy in this first trailer (from Germany) for Mother’s Day, Darren Lynn Bousman’s (Saw II-IV, Repo!) remake of Charles Kaufman’s 1980 slasher flick. The film sees a mother (De Mornay) enacting a villainous and slightly psychotic plan to protect her sons from being locked up for a bank robbery, by descending on the new owners of the house that the family used to live in before it was foreclosed. It all looks pretty creepy. Click below to take a look. The film will be in cinemas on April 1st.
