Johnny English Reborn Trailer – Rowan Atkinson returns as the spoof spy

8th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

‘Why?’ is my only response to the fact they’ve made a sequel to Johnny English. The first one was rubbish,  was released eight years ago and everyone had forgotten about it. My presumption is that Rowan Atkinson, who’s said before he isn’t a big fan of working, was either bored or needed more money, and that’s why we’ve got Johnny English Reborn. Anyway, it’s coming October 7th, with Atkinson back as the spoof special agent, who return to MI-7 having vanished off the grid for years. However he’s been honing his skills while he was away, and now has a shot at redemption. Click below to watch the trailer.

Dolphin Tale Trailer – A heartwarming story of a mutilated dolphin

8th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

Everyone loves dolphins, right? Well, what about a film based on the story of a dolphin that lost its tail as a baby, when it got caught in a crab trap? I can feel you welling up already. That’s the true-life basis of Dolhin Tale, about Winter, a dolphin who was captured and nursed back to health after losing her tail, with those around her motivated to do something that had never been tried before and create a bionic tail for her. The film follows a young boy who befriends the animal and inspires people to make the animal’s life better. Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr, Kris Kristofferson and Ashley Judd (yes, she’s still alive) star. It’ll be in cinemas later this year, but click below for the trailer.

New Hesher Trailer – Joseph Gordon Levitt can help

7th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

It was a big hit at the Sundance film festival, and seeing as Joseph Gordon Levitt and and Natalie Portman are incredibly hot right now, big things are expected for Hesher (in indie flick terms, that is). The film is the story of a twenty-something, long-haired, tattooed metal-head who one day unexpectedly enters the life of a grieving family. Hesher (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is the most unlikely person to help 13-year-old TJ (Devin Brochu) cope with the death of his mother, but he proves to be the only one who can truly free TJ from his overwhelming sadness. Natalie Portman and Rain Wilson co-star. Hesher should be in cinemas later this year, but clikc below for the brand new trailer.

Crazy Stupid Love Trailer – Steve Carell & Ryan Gosling deal with the dating world

7th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

The first trailer for the Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling movie, Crazy Stupid Love, has arrived. The film sees Carell’s as middle-aged Cal, whose relationship with his wife (Julianne Moore) hits the skids when she cheats on him (what is it with Moore and cheating roles at the moment?). Suddenly he’s thrust into the world of dating – something he has little experience with as his wife was also his high school sweetheart – with only his womanising friend Jacob (Golsling) to help him. Jacob sets about giving Cal a makeover and opening his eyes to the world of women and style, even if Cal’s heart seems to be leading him back to where he began. Crazy Stupid Love should be in cinemas this Septembet.

New Pirates Of The Caribbean Featurette – Back into the history of the franchise from the ride onwards

6th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

Disney has released a brand new featurette for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which features Captain Barbarossa and a bit of the history of the franchise, starting with Walt Disney talking about the creation of the theme park ride, through the first through movies and onto the filming of the new film. It’s a bit of a whistle-stop tour, but click below to take a look. In the movie, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds himself on an unexpected journey to the fabled Fountain of Youth when a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane). It’ll hit cinemas on May 18th.

New Your Highness Red Band Trailer – More fantasy naughtiness from Franco, Portman and McBride

6th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

It’s in cinemas next week (April 13th), but in case you’re not fully up to speed on the naughtiness of the James Franco, Danny McBride and Natalie Portman fantasy comedy, Your Highness, a new Red Band trailer has emerged with much medieval swearing and sexual shenanigans. Here’s the official synopsis:  Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing younger brother trying just to stay out of the way of those dragons, evil and trouble in general. Danny McBride and James Franco team up for an epic comedy adventure set in a fantastical world.

As two princes on a daring mission to save their land, they must rescue the heir apparent’s fiancée before their kingdom is destroyed. Thadeous (McBride) has spent his life watching his perfect older brother Fabious (Franco) embark upon valiant journeys and win the hearts of his people. Tired of being passed over for adventure, adoration and the throne, he’s settled for a life of wizard’s weed, hard booze and easy maidens. But when Fabious’ bride-to-be, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel), gets kidnapped by the evil wizard Leezar (Justin Theroux) the king gives his deadbeat son an ultimatum: Man up and help rescue her or get cut off. Half-assedly embarking upon his first quest, Thadeous joins Fabious to trek across the perilous outlands and free the princess. Joined by Isabel (Natalie Portman)-an elusive warrior with a dangerous agenda of her own-the brothers must vanquish horrific creatures and traitorous knights before they can reach Belladonna. If Thadeous can find his inner hero, he can help his brother prevent the destruction of his land. Stay a slacker, and not only does he die a coward, he gets front row seats to the dawn of an all-new Dark Ages.
