What’s Your Number? Trailer – Who hasn’t Anna Faris shagged?

26th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

Anna Faris has been a little bit of a slapper, or at least her character in What’s Your Number? has. After deciding to revaluate her life and her failure to find a man who sticks, she decides to look up the past 20 guys she slept with, find out what went wrong and whether they’ve improved with time. And to help her, she takes friend Chris Evans along for the ride (and what’s the odds he’s her true love?). What’s Your Number? hits cinemas this autumn. Click below for the trailer.

The High Cost Of Living Trailer – Zach Braff hits and runs in a new drama

26th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

With Scrubs ended, Zach Braff has some time to make some movies, and as with many of his film choices, The High Cost Of Living is a bit indie and away from the mainstream. It got an okay reception at the Toronto International Film Festival, and should be heading to cinemas later this year. Henry (Braff) makes a wrong turn and crashes into Nathalie (Isabelle Blais). In a fit of panic, and over the legal limit, he cuts and runs, leaving Nathalie lying in the street, unconscious, bleeding and eight months pregnant. She wakes up in the hospital only to find her bright future destroyed and the baby she is still carrying, dead. Her husband, Michel (Patrick Labbé) is too unnerved and emotionally bereft to deal with the tragedy. As her life unravels, she stumbles across Henry – who has been searching for his victim. Unaware of what he has done, Nathalie sees him as an unlikely guardian angel, everything Michel is not – compassionate, charming and a little crazy. She finds a welcome relief in the tall, rumpled stranger that seems only too willing to offer her refuge. But Henry has his own problems. His past misdeeds are catching up, and he soon discovers that the police are steadily closing in. The inevitable collision will force both Henry and Nathalie to confront loss, labour and life, and to ultimately decide whether the cost of living is worth the price.

Life In A Day Trailer – New look at the fascinating collaborative YouTube project

26th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

Life In A Day is a fascinating idea, which will hopefully make for a fascinating documentary. Produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald, last year anyone and everyone was invited to upload videos onto Youtube which were filmed on July 24th. They could be anything, from a vlog to something more abstract. Scott and McDonald also sent out cameras and crews to capture footage of those who wouldn’t necesarily be able to film it themselves. All of that was the taken and the most compelling footage edited into a user-generated documentary, looking at a single day on planet Earth, on all continents and from the richest to poorest. Click below to watch the trailer. It should be released July 24th this year.

New X-Men: First Class International Trailer – More from the mutants

21st April 2011 By Tim Isaac

Due to the fact it’s been done on such a tight schedule, the first trailers for X-Men: First Class were rather lacking in spectacular footage, and while the whole concept of Professor X and Magneto’s early days as friends, before they took very different paths was always a great idea, it was difficult to really get a feel for the film. However as more footage has become available, the trailers have gotten even more intriguing. While this new international promo features much of what we’ve see before, there’s some new stuff too and the film certainly look like one to watch. The film hits UK cinemas on May 30th.

The Change-Up Red Band Trailer – Ryan Reynolds & Jason Bateman swap bodies, plus new poster

21st April 2011 By Tim Isaac

We’re getting two very different Ryan Reynolds this summer. One wearing a CG superhero suit in Green Lantern and the other swapping bodies with Ryan Reynolds in The Change-Up. Now the red band trailer for the latter has arrived, which sets out to prove this is something a little more grown-up than Big or Freaky Friday.  Reynolds plays a single slacker who been best friend with Jason Bateman’s upright family man since they were kids. However after they somehow swap bodies (which seems to involve pissing in a fountain for some reason), all he breaks loose. The script by Hangover writers Jon Lucas & Scott Moore promises to delve into the area that previous bdy swap comedies have feared to tread – after all, if you swap bodies with you married best friend, are you now allowed to have sex with his wife? The movie hits Uk cinemas August 5th. Click below to watch the trailer, while you can take a gander at the brand new poster above (thanks to Moviefone).

Super 8 Interactive Trailer Walkthrough – Inside JJ Abrams’ flick via Portal 2

20th April 2011 By Tim Isaac

With the release of the PC game Portal 2 came a rather neat little extra in the form of a CG interactive trailer for JJ Abrams movie Super 8, that takes you inside the train crash we’ve witnessed in both the teaser and trailer for the movie. It’s a neat little idea, presenting the crash almost like a first person shooter, and while you’ll need the game to actually interact with it, if you don’t want to buy Portal 2 just to do that, you can click below for a walkthough done by the guys over at Kotaku. Super 8 hits cinemas June 10th.
