Conan The Barbarian (in 3D no less), is coming to a cinema near you on August 26th, and to get you excited about all the butt-kicking sword and sorcery action, a new, full trailer has arrived. A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realises he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil. Jason Momoa stars and it certainly appears he’s going to go all-out of the action. Click below to take a look.
The Ledge Trailer – Is Charlie Hunnam going to jump, or can Terrence Howard save him?
First screened at Sundance earlier this year, The Ledge sees Charlie Hunnam as Gavin, a young college professor, who stands on the ledge of a high-rise building and seems determined to take his own life. Enter a detective, Hollis (Terence Howard), who has been sent to talk the jumper out of it, but soon discovers that Gavin has to jump off the building before noon that day, as part of a battle of wilsl between the non-believing Gavin and a fundamentalist Christian who will kill someone if Gavin doesn’t jump. However Hollis has just suffered his own life-shattering experience, and in the end, it’s Gavin who has to convince the policeman that his own life is worth living. Also starring Patrick Wilson and Liv Tyler (and not to be confused with the somewhat similarly themed Man On A Ledge, while will star Sam Worthington), The Ledge should be in cinemas later this year.
Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Clip – Watch Jack escape from the Palace
The very first clip from Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has arrived, which sees Jack Sparrow desperately trying to escape from a rather grand looking palace, and causing his customary mayhem as he does. In the movie Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds himself on an unexpected journey to the fabled Fountain of Youth when a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) forces him aboard the Queen Annes Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane). It hits cinemas on May 18th, but watch the first clip from the movie below.
Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Trailer – Will Prince Optimus Prime marry his perfect bot? Umm, no
Although there’s apparently some wedding things happening today, far more important is the release of the trailer for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. What it lacks in pomp, circumstance and speculation about dresses, it makes up for in Michael Bay explosions and robots. Apparently the 1960s space race was all in response to ‘an event’ and the fall-out for that is now happening, with the Decepticons apparently keen to take over the world by blowling up Chicago, and only the Autobots and Shia Labeouf to stop them. The film hits cinemas on July 1st, but click below for the trailer.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 Trailer – Voldemort demands the ultimate showdown
The rather awesome trailer for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2 has arrived, which rather unsurprisingly offers much for this final installment in the highest grossing film series of all time. Voldemort wants a final showdown between him and Harry, Hogwarts is under attack from Death Eaters, Harry is a little concerned that people keep dying for him (which to be honest, would result in most people needing to see a therapist) and Potter even gives Voldemort a bit of a hug – but don’t worry, it’s not a reconciliation. The film is out on July 15th, and will undoubtedly once more be one of the biggest movies of the year. So click below to watch the trailer and prepare yourself for the ultimate showdown.
Green Lantern Extended TV Spot – Two minute look at the superhero flick
With Green Lantern released June 17th and Warner Bros seemingly worried that after a mixed reception to the first trailer, it might not be as attractive to audiences as they’d hoped, the studio is going all out to promote the Ryan Reynolds flick, and have now produced this two-minute extended TV spot for the movie, featuring plenty of cool footage. Reynolds plays test pilot Hal Jordan, who becomes the first human to become part of the Green Lanterns, a kind of intergalactic police force. Click below to take a look.
