Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski returns with Oblivion on April 11th, which sees Tom Cruise heading back to the future for a sci-fi thriller. It all looks pretty cool, with a new trailer showing us the ruins of familiar landmarks on a ruined Earth.

Cruise plays a man who services the drones that ensure humanity can still get the natural resources it craves, even though it has had to abandon the surface and live in the sky. However as we discover, some strange things are going on, including Morgan Freeman kidnapping him, some strange beasts and people in pods plummeting to earth. As he tries to figure out what’s happening, he becomes a target himself.

John Cusack is getting his thriller on with The Numbers Station, and now the first trailer for the movie has hit the web, and you can watch it below.

Cusack plays a disgraced black-ops CIA agent who gets sent to a dead-end assignment in the Nevada desert. He is told to protect a code breaker (Malin Akerman) working at an isolated CIA broadcast station. It’s supposed to be an easy job, but gets a lot more difficult when she’s targeted by unknown assailants.

The Candidate’s Kasper Barfoed directs. No UK release is currently set, but it hits US cinemas on April 26th.

Mike and Sulley are back in Monsters University, although a bit younger than they were in Monsters Inc., as the new movie will follow them back in their university days, when they developed a bit of a rivalry – both want to be scarers, but while Mike is serious and studious, Sulley is a bit more freewheeling.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer.The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

‘Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and features music from future Rock-and-Roll-Hall-of-Fame–inductee and award winning composer Randy Newman (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Toy Story 3”). It seems Warner Bros has listened to those who thought the first Jack The Giant Slayer trailer made the whole thing look like a dumb, not particularly funny comedy, as this new promo brings on the rock music, ups the action and puts everything in fantasy peril.

I’m still not 100% convinced by the movie, but director Bryan Singer is normally trustworthy, so hopefully it’ll work out well.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘An ancient war is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult), into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom and its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend… and gets the chance to become a legend himself.’

One Direction have taken over the world, not just finding success in Europe but becoming a number one sensation in the US and all across the globe. As a result they’re getting their own 3D film, which from this new trailer looks like it’s going to be a mix of concert footage and behind-the-scenes chats with the boy.

Don’t expect a tell-all expose though, as this is going to be how much they love one another (which certainly seems true, as they simply can’t stop touching each other!).

The film is due to hit cinemas August 30th, when you’ll be able sing along with the boys in 3D.

Paul Walker has never had a huge amount of success outside the Fast & Furious franchise, but he’ll be hoping for more from The Hours. Now the first trailer for the movie has emerged, which sees him is desperate mode during Hurricane Katrina.

Here’s the synopsis: ‘Before sunrise on August 29, 2005 Nolan (PAUL WALKER) arrives at a New Orleans hospital with his pregnant wife Abigail (GENESIS RODRIGUEZ) who has gone into early labor. What should be one of the happiest days of Nolan’s life quickly spirals out of control when the birth goes tragically wrong and Hurricane Katrina ravages the hospital, forcing an evacuation. Told to stay with his child, who is on a ventilator, Nolan and his newborn are soon cut off from the world by power outages and rising flood waters. When no one returns to help, Nolan faces one life-and-death decision after another, fighting to keep his daughter alive, as minute by agonizing minute passes, becoming unimaginable “Hours.”’

The movie will premiere at SXSW in March.
