It’s not long now until Lightning McQueen and Mater return on July 22nd, and while some miserable people are still wondering why Pixar chose Cars to make a sequel to, it’s probably because they don’t realise quite how popular the original is, particularly with the younger crowd – indeed more Cars merchandise has been sold than for any other Pixar flick.
