A lot of people have horror stories about living with a nightmare roomie at university, and now that’s being taken to the extreme with The Roommate. Sara (Minka Kelly) initially thinks its great when she’s paired with Rebecca (Leighton Meester) in their college dorm, but Rebecca is more than a tad unstable and develops a psychotic attachment to Sara, getting rid of anyone who she thinks is standing in their way. Psycho-roomies have been seen before in the likes of Single White Female, and it’s often quite an effective premise. However we’ll have to wait to see if the Gossip Girl actress stacks up as a good psycho-stalker. Click below to see the trailer. The Roommate will be in cinemas next spring.
