While trailers for Salt came out earlier this year, they seem to have slightly put the brakes on the marketing push for for the Angelina Jolie action movie while all the big summer blockbusters were clamouring for attention. However now the film is only a few weeks from its July 23rd US release (it’ll reack the UK on August 20th) and so they’re trying to ratchet up the interest again. A new Inside Look featurette has been released, featuring the likes of Jolie and director Phillip Noyce talking about the film, in which Jolie plays CIA Operative Evelyn Salt, who goes on the run after being accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. She must not only prove her innocence and protect her family, but also stop the authorities from erasing all trace of her existence. It has to be said though, that the film couldn’t have had better timing, what with the recent Russian sleeper ring being uncovered in America and Friday’s spy swap.
