Yesterday we posted a 15 second advert that’s been airing in the US, which promised that the first proper look at Disney CG version of the Rapunzel story, Tangled, would arrive on Sunday. However it turns out we don’t have to wait that long as Disney has now sent over the official teaser trailer and first images from the movie. An attempt to recreate the look and feel of old-style Disney hand-drawn animation in a 3D CG environment, here’s the official plot synopsis:
Walt Disney Pictures presents TANGLED, one of the most hilarious, hair-raising tales ever told. When the kingdoms most wantedand most charmingbandit Flynn Rider (voice of ZACHARY LEVI) hides out in a mysterious tower, hes taken hostage by Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynns curious captor, whos looking for her ticket out of the tower where shes been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. In theatres this holiday season in Disney Digital 3D, TANGLED is a story of adventure, heart, humour and hair – lots of hair.
