Jim Parsons has had huge success on TV and the stage, but he hasn’t done too much on the big screen. Indeed, his biggest role to date only featured his voice, in Dreamworks Animation’s Home. He’s now looking to change that, as he’s in talks to star in and produce the long-gestating movie, Man-Witch, according to THR.
Warner Bros. has owned the script since 2005, but despite having various people attached at different time, it never came together and it looked like it was pretty much dead. However, Parsons’ involvement brings it back to life.
The movie is about ‘a schoolteacher (Parsons) who abruptly discovers he’s got witchlike powers. A coven of real witches takes him in, promptly sending him to “witch school,” where he is the lone adult, surrounded by little girl witches-in-training.’
It’s not quite Harry Potter, but it could certainly be fun.
