Paul (Grant) and Meryl (Parker) are two successful New York hotshots who aren’t so successful in their marriage. While out one evening in an attempt to put the pieces of their shattered marriage back together, Paul and Meryl become the only witnesses to a brutal murder, and before they know it, the two city dwellers are whisked off to the ass-end of nowhere (well, Wyoming) as part of a witness relocation programme, and are forced to hide out under the same roof. And no, hilarity most certainly does not ensue.

Never seeming to give a toss whether you’re entertained or not, Grant, Parker and director, Marc Lawrence, lazily meander through a predictable 103 minutes of mediocrity with their eyes set firmly on the prize (a big fat cheque for each), so no-one would blame you if you come away from Did You Hear About The Morgans? feeling nothing more than a little numb and just a little more cynical about cinema itself.

Boasting jokes that aren’t funny and a serious lack of chemistry between the two leads (who are constantly upstaged by Sam Elliot’s wonderful moustache), there’s barely anything to recommend about this sloppily pedestrian rom-com from the man who brought us the far more watchable Music and Lyrics.

Still, the few fans of the film will no-doubt enjoy its hi-def incarnation courtesy of Sony Pictures, which as per usual, does a bang up job with both the beautifully detailed picture and the solid audio. There’s also a ton of extras on the Blu-ray disc, including a commentary with the director and the two leads (they try, but it soon proves tiresome) and a bunch of behind the scenes featurettes.

Overall Verdict: A forgettable rom-com entry but beautifully presented nonetheless.
