Director Darren Aronofsky is bulking up his cast for Noah, both literally and figuratively, with 6'6" actor Kevin Durand signing on for the film. Dakota Goyo, who starred in Real Steel alongside Kevin Durand, has also joined the cast as the younger version of Noah, according to Variety.
The bbilical story follows Noah (Russell Crowe), who has grown tired of the way humans have treated God's creation of Earth. Kevin Durand will play a 'watcher,' a massive giant who helps Noah and his family (biblical giant such as Goliath are often believed to be the offspring of angels and humans). Jennifer Connelly, Douglas Booth, and Logan Lerman star as Noah's wife and sons, with Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, and Anthony Hopkins also signed up.
Darren Aronofsky is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ari Handel. Shooting is expeted to begin very soon.
