Denzel Washington is always a safe bet for an action thriller, and now he's lining another one up, as Deadline reports that he's in talks to star in Universal Pictures graphic novel adaptation 2 Guns, for director Baltasar Kormákur (Contraband).
The slightly The Departed story centres on a DEA agent and an undercover naval officer who are ordered to investigate each other. They soon realise they've been double-crossed by the mob, who they were both stealing money from. Mark Wahlberg has been attached to star to star for a while, although it isn't clear which roles Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington will play.
No production schedule was released for 2 Guns, but hoepfully that will become clearer after the Berlin Film Festival, where the movie is looking for co-financing.
