Hall Pass and Horrible Bosses actor Jason Sudeikis is currently floating on the edge of whether he will be an eternal supporting player or whether he'll be able to become a full-on leading man in his own right. Now he's got another supporting part to add to his roster, as THR reports he has joined the upcoming political comedy Dog Fight for Warner Bros. and director Jay Roach.
Based on Shawn Harwell (Eastbound & Down) and Chris Henchy's (The Other Guys) script, the movie is about fierce political rivals (Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis) in a small South Carolina congressional district. No details are known about Jason Sudeikis' character. Sarah Baker and Katherine LaNasa also recently joined the cast.
Production will begin next month in New Orleans, with Warner Bros. already setting an August 10, 2012 release.
