Quentin Tarantino is busy locking down the cast for his upcoming Django Unchained, ahead of a planned shoot in January, and now Variety reports that he's set his sights on Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The actor and the director apparently went out for dinner a few weeks ago, and now Gordon-Levitt's entered talks to join Quentin's new movie.
The actor wants to join the movie, which would reunite him with his Inception co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has quite a few scheduling issues, though, that stand in the way - although with Premium Rush moving from this winter to August, it does free up his schedule a little. It isn't known what role Gordon-Levitt would play though.
The movie centres on a slave, played by Jamie Foxx, who teams up with a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to retrieve his wife from an evil plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio). Other cast members include Samuel L. Jackson, Gerald McRaney, Kurt Russell, and Don Johnson.
