Arnie's coming back to the big screen after years governating, but he's gonna need some help. The cast of Schwarzenengger's movie return, Last Stand, with Variety reporting that Thor star Jaimie Alexander has joined the movie, while Latino Review suggests Lost and 300 actor Rodrigo Santoro may also be onboard, and Deadline says Friday Night Light's Zach Gilford is joining too.
Last Stand revolves around a small-town sheriff (Schwarzenegger) who tries to stop an escaped Mexican cartel leader (Peter Stormare) from reaching the border, only to find himself outmatched every step of the way. Jaimie Alexander will play Sarah Torrance, a cop under Arnold Schwarzenegger's command, who starts up a romance with another officer, played by Rodrigo Santoro. Zach GIlford will be yet another officer.
Jee-woon Kim is directing Last Stand from a script by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, who rewrote the original draft by Andrew Knauer. Production is scheduled to begin on October 20 in New Mexico.
