There's another movie to add to Leo DiCaprio's seemingly neverending list of possible future projects, as Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to Don Winslow's novel Satori, with Leo attached to star, according to Deadline.
The novel centers on Nicholas Hei (Leonardo DiCaprio), a Westerner who is raised in Japan and trained as a martial arts assassin in the aftermath of World War II. Hei is sprung from a Japanese prison by the CIA and, in return, must assassinate the Russian commissioner in China. He is also an expert at the Japanese strategy game Go, skills which come in handy when he is betrayed by the CIA.
Shane Salerno is writing the screenplay adaptation along with author Don Winslow. There's no director attached as yet, and no idea when it might shoot.
