Susan Sarandon is always a worthwhile addition to any cast, so Dwayne Johnson must be pretty pleasues that she's in talks to join him in the movie Snitch for writer/director Ric Roman Waugh, according to THR.
The story centres on a father (Dwayne Johnson) who is devastated when his son is sentenced to 30 years in prison on drug charges. He decides to take extreme measures by going behind bars as an undercover prison informant to bust a major drug dealer, in hopes of securing a commuted sentence for his son. Susan Sarandon will play a district attorney who tries to advance her career with this undercover operation. The attorney was originally a male character, but has been reworked for the actress.
While it sounds like a ridiculously far-fetched plot, it's actually based on a true story, although we imagine they'll have upped the action quotient for ol' Dwayne.
