So far all the casting news for Expendables 2 has been about which action luminaries would be showing up this time around. However now Stallone nad co. have some younger company as Thor's brother, Liam Hemsworth, has signed up to join the movie, according to Variety.
The 21-year-old, whose star should rise early next year with the release of The Hunger Games, will portray a sniper in The Expendables 2. Alongside Stallone and Hemsworth, The Expendables will also feature Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme, as well as expanded roles for Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis. Original The Expendables cast members Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, and Randy Couture are expected to return for the sequel as well.
Simon West will direct, with production scheduled to start later this month.
