United States Of Tara actress Rosemarie DeWitt is planning to join the Neighborhood Watch. You'll be pleased to hear though that this is a movie called Neighborhood Watch, rather than the anti-burglary organisation, or else this wouldn't be much of a story.
The sci-fi comedy already has Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn onboard as suburban fathers who join a neighborhood watch group, which is really a cover for some guys to get in some male bonding time away from their families. However, despite the fact none of them has much interest in watching the neighbourhood, the group ends up uncovering a nefarious plot to destroy the world, involving aliens. DeWitt will play the wife of Ben Stiller's character.
Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod) is directing Neighborhood Watch from a screenplay by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Production is scheduled to start in Georgia sometime this autumn. (Source: Variety)
