Valentine's Day is getting a ridiculously heavyweight cast. Already signed up are Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Garner, Jessica Biel, Shirley Maclaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Hector Elizondo and Emma Roberts. However it's now been announced you can add Grey's Anatomy alums Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane to that list.
Dane will play a quarterback struggling over the decision of whether to retire, while Dempsey will be a obstetrician dating Garner's character, with her unaware that he's married. With Dempsey, isn't that exactly what happened between his character and Meredith in the first season of Grey's Anatomy? He's even playing a doctor again, so it's not exactly a stretch. You'd think he'd want to mix it up a bit, but apparently not.
The movie itself sounds like it wants to be a bit like Love, Actually, and follows a group of intertwining couples and singles in Los Angeles as they break-up and make-up on Valentine's Day.It's being directed by Garry Marshall (Runaway Bride, Pretty Woman, Beaches) and unsuprisingly should be out in cinemas next February.
