Tobey Maguire has been attached to an adaptation of Marcus Sakey thriller Good People for quite a while now, and according to Production Weekly, that film has now found a director, in the form of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo's Niels Arden Oplev.
Following the success of his Stieg Larrsson adaptation, Oplev was bound to be offered some good gigs, and now it seems he's settled on the movie about Tom and Anna Reid, a couple who are up to their eyeballs in debt following IVF treatment. However in slightly Shallow Grave style, they think their prayers have been answered when they find $370,000 in a room they let to a tenant who suddenly dies. Unsurprisingly, when they try and keep the cash, things get complicated.
Maguire is due to star and produce the flick, although there's no word on who will play his wife.
