Here's the latest casting new coming out of Hollywood...
Twilight star Ashley Greene and Hung's Thomas Jane are in talks to join Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore and Douglas Booth in the remake of the French comedy, LOL: Laughing Out Loud. The story centres on a teenage girl (Cyrus) who is dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend (George Finn) while her divorcee mother (Moore) struggles to move on with her life. Greene will play a high school bad girl, and Jane will be Cyrus' father. Also joining the cast is Ashley Hinshaw as Cyrus' best friend. (Source: THR)
It's always good news when Angela Bassett gets a role, as she's a severely underused actress (although she does have Green lantern coming up), and now it seems she'll star in the wedding themed comedy Jumping The Broom, opposite Paula Patton. The Salim Aliki movie revolves around the clash of two black families from opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum meeting for the first time during a weekend wedding in Martha's Vineyard. Bassett will play Patton's mother, an heiress and a pillar of the Washington elite. Romeo Miller plays Patton's cousin, a senior at Yale, while Laz Alonso will be Patton's love interest. Kiki Hawk may not be a well known name, but the Get Him To The Greek and Couples Retreat actress has just landed roles in two upcoming movies. She'll be seen in Judd Apatow produced Bridesmaids, which sees Kristen Wiig as a maid of honor trying to please the snobby, rich bridesmaids at every wedding event before her best friend's nuptials. Hawk will also appear in the indie drama Let Go, which revolves around a parole officer and three ex-cons under his supervision. (Source: THR)
