Universal Studios unveiled a new static logo a couple of months ago as part of its 100th Anniversary celebration, and now the new animated version, which will appear in front of the studio's movies from now on, has debuted. It may just be a studio logo, but it's incredibly cool!
"Our centennial year is the perfect opportunity to create a new logo that reflects our future while honouring our past,” said Ron Meyer, Universal Studios President and COO. "Universal’s new logo celebrates the studio’s extraordinary legacy in creating lasting movie memories, and connecting viewers across the globe.”
For the new animated logo design, Universal teamed up with the Academy Award winning visual effects artists at New Zealand-based Weta Digital, best known for producing the effects for the likes of Lord Of The Rings and Rise Of The Planet of The Apes. Take a look below.
