The Vow wants to be the Valentine's romance of 2012, with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams as a newlywed couple who get into a car accident, which ends up with the wife in coma. When she wakes up, she has amnesia that stretches back several years, so while she remembers her family, she has no memory of the man who recently became her huband - so he sets out to woo her once again. Although it sounds rather contrived, it's actually based on the true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, whose car was hit from behind by a fast moving truck in 1993.
