After premiering at Sundance, Warner was so impressed with Splice they bought up the rights, gave the filmmaker (Cube's Vincenzo Natali) a bit more cash to improve some of the effects and are planning a major release for the movie. If the trailers and clips are anything to go by, you can see why they got so excited. Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley star as scientists working hybrid animals, however when they secretly add human DNA into the mix they create something they may be the next step up the evolutionary ladder, or something that could destroy the whole of humanity.
