It's certainly been a bit of luck for the makers of The Greatest, that while their biggest stars before they started shooting in 2008 were Susan Sarandon and Pierce Brosnan, since then Carey Mulligan has shot into the stratosphere with An Education, Public Enemies and Brothers, while Aaron Johnson is set to be much better known following the release of Kick-Ass.
It means that while the movie has been hanging around for over a year since its Sundance 2009 premiere, it's now getting a US release next month (although there's still no news on when it's coming to the UK). The film follows Allen and Grace Brewer (Brosnan and Sarandon), who are racked with grief following the death of their son (Johnson), which becomes complicated when a woman (Mulligan) turns up who's pregnant with their son's child.
