Such is Mel Gibson's life. However, after an enforced sabbatical he's back, in what will be his first lead acting role since Signs in 2002. Edge of Darkness sees Mel as homicide detective Thomas Craven, who investigates the death of his activist daughter, discovering not only her secret life but also a corporate conspiracy.
