Red Lights Trailer

Sigourney Weaver & Cillian Murphy doubt the paranormal
Every year there are a ridiculous amount of movies about the paranormal, but Red Lights look more interesting than most, if only because the cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Cillian Murphy and Robert De Niro, and it's directed by Buried helmer Rodrigo Cortes. The film is about two investigators of paranormal hoaxes - the veteran Dr. Margaret Matheson (Weaver) and her young assistant, Tom Buckley (Murphy) - study metaphysical phenomena with the aim of proving their fraudulent origins. Simon Silver (De Niro), a legendary blind psychic, reappears after an enigmatic absence of 30 years to become the greatest international challenge to both orthodox science and professional sceptics. Tom starts to develop an intense obsession with Silver, whose magnetism becomes stronger with each new manifestation of inexplicable events. As Tom gets closer to Silver, tension mounts, and his worldview is threatened to its core. It's due out in May, but now the rather intense trailer is here.
G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation Super Bowl TV Spot
Thursday February 2, 2012
Is Channing Tatum even in this movie?
With this Sunday's Super Bowl likely to see a slew of cool ads for the summer's big movies, G.I. Joe 2 has decided to try and steal a march on the rest by release their Super Bowl spot a few days early. It's action-packed, but what's most noticeable is that despite the fact Channing Tatum is supposedly returning as the main character, he doesn't feature in the trailer at all, with the focus being more on new players Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis. The film hits cinemas this June.
Shame - Picturehouse Hackney Q&A with Michael Fassbender
Wednesday February 1, 2012
Lengthy chat with the star of the much praised movie
Just before the release of Shame, Michael Fassbender took part in a special post-screening Q&A, filmed at the Hackney Picturehouse and beamed to cinemas around the country. If you missed out on the live broadcast, it's now been posted online, with Fassbender talking for half an hour about the film and his role in it. As he's been much praised and admired for playing a sex addict in the film, he's got some interesting things to say, so the Q&A is well worth a watch.
Get the Gringo Trailer

Even Mexican prisoners hate Mel Gibson
Is the world ready to forgive Mel Gibson? He's hoping so, as he's invested a lot of his own cash in Get the Gringo (formerly known as How I Spent My Summer Vacation), in which he stars as a career criminal who is nabbed by the Mexican authorities and placed in a tough prison where he learns to survive with the help of a 9-year-old boy. The film hits UK cinemas on May 11th, but now the first trailer is here. Personally, I have a feeling this isn't the movie that'll give Mel a much needed hit.

The trailer for 7500 is channelling the spirit of other airbound thrillers, from Final Destination to the episode of Twilight Zone with William Shatner being terrorised by a gremlin on the wing. The creepy movie sees passengers aboard a flight across the Pacific Ocean encounter a supernatural force. Ryan Kwanten, Leslie Bibb and Amy Smart star. It'll hit cinemas this summer.

We've embedded it here, so take a look and then hurry off and get yourself a copy of the DVD or Blu-ray.

The Artist Blooper Reel
Saturday January 28, 2012
Uggie the dog is cute even when he's screwing up
The Artist has been charming audiences around the world and the bookies say that the smart money is on the movie to win big at the Oscars. Now a blooper reel has been released, which shows that the film is charming even when things don't quite go correctly. Although if you thought Uggie was the most talented dog in history, you may be upset to see that sometimes he made mistakes too!
New Lockout Trailer Surface
Friday January 27, 2012
Guy Pearce goes all Snake Plissken in a space prison
For ages there were plans to remake Escape From New York, and while those have fallen through, we're getting something very similar with Lockout, which stars Guy Pearce as a wrongly convicted criminal who's offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter (Maggie Grace) from an outer space prison that's been taken over by violent inmates. From the evidence of this trailer, Pearce is definitely channelling the spirit of Snake Plissken. The Luc Besson co-written flick is due out April 13th, 2012.
New Mirror Mirror Trailer
Friday January 27, 2012
Toning down the camp for the Snow White tale
When the first trailer for Mirror Mirror arrived online, the main reaction to the OTT farce on display was, 'What the hell is that?' It's fair to say that in the battle of the Snow White movies, the Mirror Mirror teaser was roundly trounced by the entrancing first look at Snow White & the Huntsman. Now a new Mirror Mirror trailer has arrived, which tones things down and makes things look more traditionally fairy tale-esque and palatable.
Here's the synopsis: 'Mirror Mirror is a spectacular reimagining of the classic fairy tale starring Oscar® winner Julia Roberts as the Queen, Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as Snow White, Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as Prince Alcott, Sean Bean ("The Game of Thrones", The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) as the King and Nathan Lane (The Lion King, The Birdcage) as the Queen's hapless and bungling servant, Brighton.
'An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.
'Visionary director Tarsem Singh (Immortals) rewrites fairy tale history as a wicked enchantress (Roberts) schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan's (Collins) throne and the attention of a charming prince (Hammer). When Snow White's beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits.
'Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen. With the support of her subjects, she roars into action in an epic battle that blends spectacle, magic and contemporary humor in Singh's signature, jaw-dropping visual style.' The film is due out March 16th.
